NGK Spark Plugs changes company name to ‘Niterra’
Following the 122nd Ordinary General Meeting of the Shareholders on 24 June 2022, NGK Spark Plug announced its decision to change its English language company name to ‘Niterra’. World-renowned as an ignition, sensor and technical ceramics specialist, the Group rebrand reflects the journey which the company is currently on and will come into effect at the beginning of the company’s next fiscal year on 1 April 2023.
Robinson returns to racing with NGK
Seven-time UK pro mod champion Andy Robinson returns to drag racing this month in his NGK-sponsored race car ‘Anger Management 2.0’. He will be in action at Northamptonshire’s Santa Pod Raceway over the Bank Holiday weekend (April 15-17) when he takes part in the Festival of Power meeting.
New UK MD for NGK Spark Plugs
NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd has appointed Marko Wowczyna UK managing director, effective April 1, 2021. He replaces Tammy Suzuki who NGK says has returned to Japan after four years at the helm. Mr Wowczyna becomes the firm’s first-ever non-Japanese UK MD. With nearly 25 years’ experience in the automotive aftermarket, Wowczyna joined NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd in 2012 as general manager – aftermarket.
NGK Spark Plugs (UK) cyclist raises £17,000 for Down’s Syndrome Association
It was a case of on your bike with a vengeance recently for Stuart Bayne, who is sales manager – north for NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd, as he has completed an 1100-kilometre sponsored cycle ride to raise more than £17,000 for the Down’s Syndrome Association.
NGK continues motorsport involvement with M-Sport, Ferrari
