When NDI Group recently dropped its plan to acquire Euromaster Danmark after the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority voiced concerns about competition, Euromaster Group commented that its future may include “a possible new agreement with NDI” that covers “some” of its activities in Denmark. And so it is – Super Dæk Service, the tyre and workshop chain owned by NDI, has agreed to acquire nine Euromaster branches.
The Danish Competition and Consumer Authority has suspended its investigation into the planned NDI Group acquisition of Euromaster Danmark. Following the collapse of the two companies’ planned merger, the Euromaster Group announced that it will “not continue its activities in Demark” after the end of 2023.
Nordexx, NDI-owned tyre brand established in 2008, is exhibiting at the Panama Tire Expo with a view to expanding its presence in the Latin American markets with quality solutions and close collaboration with local business partners. Yokohama Off-Highway Tires (YOHT) has an additional partner in Norway, with major wholesaler Norgesdekk now supplying YOHT’s off-highway tyre brands in addition to NDI, who has served as a strategic partner in the Nordic region for almost 40 years.
Danish tyre and wheel business NDI Group, reports that it has produced large stocks of dual-rims ready for export to help European farmers benefit from reduced soil compaction and improved efficiency.
Denmark’s NDI Group presented examples of its new Nordexx off-highway tyre range at The Tire Cologne in May, and now says it is “ready to deliver” these tyres to customers around the world. The Nordexx range for industrial machinery is available in 37 different SKUs in 25- to 29-inch sizes.”
We’re familiar with the Nordexx brand, which NDI Group A/S first launched as a car tyre range in 1998 and extended over the years. Truck tyres have been available for a while too. But a visit to The Tire Cologne this week confirmed that the Nordexx portfolio is still growing.
In response to increased global demand from the farming sector for customised rim solutions, NDI Group is increasing capacity at its rim factory in Brørup, Denmark. It is doing so through an expansion of its production facility, and describes the work carried out as a “first step”. NDI anticipates completing the expansion in early 2022.
NDI Group is relaunching its Nordexx private label. The tyre distributor says it has developed a new logo as part of its strategy to grow Nordexx in the future. These efforts to create a more distinctive and recognisable brand are being backed up with marketing support for Nordexx distributors and partners.
Private brand Nordexx, from Denmark’s NDI Group, has launched its first all-season tyre for cars and vans. The NA6000 targets “a gap in the market for affordable all-season tyres,” Admir Ramic, Nordexx export manager, tells Tyres & Accessories. The Nordexx brand is exported to 61 countries around the world.
Danish tyre wholesaler Nordisk Dæk Import (NDI) aims to significantly develop its market presence in neighbouring Germany. Carsten Andersen, area sales manager for the Brørup-based company, says NDI is currently searching for a dozen or so partners to take over distribution of its Nordexx private brand in Germany.
