My Car Check: exciting new motorcycles, but what about new bikers?

My Car Check Trade’s motorcycle expert, Rob Hobson, has added his analysis of the segment to the company’s 2016 forecasts of the car and light commercial vehicle markets. He praises manufacturers’ latest products, but questions the segment’s ability to attract new customers. He said: “Following a 12 per cent increase in new bike registrations last year, and a relatively strong used sector, most in the trade seem reasonably optimistic that the upward trend can continue.

LCV sales expected to pick up sharply with most values down around 2% – My Car Check

My Car Check Trade added its analysis of the light commercial vehicle market to its car market forecast. Gavin Amos said: “As the country gets back to work after the festive period, LCV sales are expected to pick up sharply over the next few weeks. The weather will play a part but it shouldn’t be long before sales are back to where they were at the start of November. In terms of values, we have eased most back by around 2 per cent this month.

Car dealers stock up in readiness for the New Year rush

The beginning of the year signals the start of a busy period in most lines of work, and My Car Check Trade states that car dealerships are no different. Head of valuation services, Gavin Amos, states: “Dealerships are hives of activity in January as, with Christmas over, consumers turn their attention to looking for a new car. Footfall always increases dramatically at this time of year and retailers will have taken advantage of the December lull to stock up in readiness.

Using social media to solve car crime

My Car Check – the consumer vehicle data provider – has helped to reunite a vehicle with its rightful owner after spotting a post on Facebook page They Stole My Wheels. The 2008 Vauxhall Vectra was pictured on a Yorkshire side street with several parking tickets – a giveaway sign that it had been stolen and abandoned.
