Pirelli OE on Kawasaki Z H2
The Kawasaki Z series has been around since 1972, but Pirelli reckons the new Z H2 is the “most radical” model to join the range in the last 48 years. The most powerful too, thanks to a supercharged 998 cc engine that delivers 147.1 kW (197 hp). This power reaches the road via Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres, Kawasaki’s original equipment tyre of choice for its latest naked bike.
Pirelli adding classic, scooter tyres to racing range
Pirelli is expanding its 2020 racing range with the Phantom Sportscomp RS, an 18-inch classic motorcycle competition tyre that combines the vintage Phantom Sportscomp pattern with the latest in track tyre technology. The tyre is approved for road use and aimed at riders competing in classic sprint and endurance races. A second product entering the portfolio this year is the Diablo Rosso Scooter SC, a tyre for racing scooters.
All things to all riders: Dunlop’s new Mutant
The latest Dunlop tyre to carry the name Mutant may deserve the moniker thanks to its ability to ‘morph’ into various segments of the motorcycle market. Owing its origins to a combination of knowledge gained in hypersport and touring tyres as well as technologies developed in wet-weather racing, the Dunlop Mutant range of five front and six rear sizes is positioned to “provide all-season, all-roads versatility” to over 370 different models of motorcycle, whether they be adventure bike, sport-touring, naked, retro or scrambler.
Honda chooses Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP for Fireblade models

Michelin unveils latest MotoGP tyre
Following months of testing, Michelin has introduced a new construction rear tyre for the upcoming MotoGP season. This latest evolution of the Michelin Power Slick rear tyre features a construction aimed at improving lap times through an increase in performance and stability. Following a long joint development process, Indian Motorcycle has named Metzeler exclusive original equipment tyre supplier for the upcoming 2020 Indian Challenger. All versions of the new ‘bagger’, including the Dark Horse and Limited models, will wear Metzeler Cruisetec tyres in size 130 / 60B19 66H on the front and 180 / 60R16 80H on the rear.
