While the testing and certification specialist doesn’t wish to cast doubt over the safety advantage winter tyres offer when driving on snow and ice, it also considers all-season tyres a suitable choice for motorists who only drive in flat or lowland regions and spend a lot of time on the motorway.
With the MSTYR15 project now examining the correlation between claimed and actual EU tyre label performance, it is more important than ever for manufacturers to utilise test equipment they can trust to deliver reliable results. Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber Co., Ltd (ZC Rubber) reports that the machinery it uses to test rolling resistance was recently inspected by TÜV SÜD, and was certified as highly accurate.
