Upturn in housebuilding to sustain UK OTR growth – KRT

A leading UK distributor of OTR tyres has predicting sustained growth in the segment as the construction sector rallies with improved UK economy. Since the financial crash of 2008 the aftermarket OTR tyre sector has suffered from a severely contracted end-user market. House building, often seen as a barometer of the health of the sector, saw starts falling to record low levels and other major developments have been put on ice. Kings Road Tyres (KRT) says the upturn in domestic construction activity will support sales growth in its OTR tyre brands.

Maxam enters agricultural tyre market

Over the past 50 years, Luxembourg-based Maxam Tire has built up a reputation for the supply of quality, cost effective OTR radial, construction and industrial tyres, making a name for itself as a force in the off-the-road speciality tyre sector. At the start of 2015, the company broadened its product portfolio by offering the first of a new range of agricultural tyres; the Agrixtra MS951R. The new tyre is a radial, aimed at medium horsepower tractors and is available in nearly 40 sizes for rims from 24” up to 42”. It comes in aspect ratios of 85, 70 and 65 series, with the 65 series developed for applications at 65 km/h.

Maxam launches Android app

Maxam Tire, the specialist manufacturer of OTR and industrial tyres, has launched a new version of its app for all devices working under the Android system, such as Smartphones, Tablets and Phablets. It complements the existing Maxam app for iPad and incorporates the same features.

Kings Road Tyres to launch Aeolus Valued Partner incentive at Brityrex

Kings Road Tyres was appointed as the exclusive distributor of Aeolus passenger car tyres at the beginning of 2014, and the company has announced the launch of this venture as a focal point of its Brityrex International 2014 activity, presented on its own stand. Primarily known as a distributor of commercial and agricultural tyres, KRT plans to get behind its new PCR product range with a package for retailers, called the Aeolus Valued Partner scheme. KRT says it will offer exclusive and innovative benefits, including an Aeolus-themed merchandising package, to fit out a reception area.

KRT adds Maxam to extensive industrial tyre offer

One of the UK’s foremost industrial tyre dealers, Kings Road Tyres has recently taken on distributorship of the Maxam brand for pneumatic applications including skid steer loaders, ground support equipment, access lifts, telescopic handlers and wheeled excavators. Key Maxam patterns covering a wide range of equipment are the MS801, MS802, MS906 and MS908, available ex-stock from KRT regional centres around the UK.

Maxam signs up Spanish distributor

Luxembourg-based Maxam Tire has announced the appointment of Recambios Frain S.L. as a distributor for Maxam OTR tyres in Spain. The deal was finalised at the recent Reifen exhibition in Essen and the first tyres have been shipped to Recambios Frain’s warehouse at Lugo, in northwest Spain.

Maxam goes large in Essen

Maxam Reifen 2014 stand

OTR brand, Maxam Tire showed 24 tyres from the company’s comprehensive range of radial OTR, construction and industrial tyres on a large stand in Hall 6. The MS401 dump truck tyre proved particularly hard to miss; the tyre has an overall diameter of 2.7 metres and weighs 1,497kgs.

Maxam distributor Propneu wins dealer award

Czech company Propneu S.r.o. was awarded the Maxam European dealer trophy for 2013 at the recent Expo Mokra exhibition, held near Brno in the Czech Republic.

Established in 2003, Propneu has been the exclusive distributor for Maxam tyres in the Czech and Slovak republics for six years and they have built up their business to become the market leaders in the supply and servicing of OTR tyres and tyres for construction equipment in this area.

Maxam launches end-user app

Luxembourg-based supplier of construction and all-steel radial OTR tyres Maxam Tire has released an app featuring information about the company and its product portfolio. The app also contains a TKPH/TMPH (tonnes-kilometre per hour and ton-miles per hour) calculator that can be used to determine the right tyre for the job required. As on Maxam’s website, there is a ‘Dealer Reserved Area’ on the new app, allowing customers to save their TKPH and TMPH calculations and forward them via e-mail if required.

Maxam Tire on show at Conexpo

Maxam at Conexpo

Maxam Tire personnel have recently returned from the USA, where the company took part in the Conexpo exhibition, held from 4-8 March in Las Vegas. Conexpo is one or the world’s premier shows for the construction, mining and earthmoving sectors, held once every three years and attracting over 2,400 exhibitors and more than 125,000 visitors over the five days of the show. The Maxam stand was 164 m2 (1800 sq. ft) in area and on show were 10 of the extensive ranges of Maxam construction and radial OTR tyres.

Kings Road Tyres adapts brand strategy with new Tianli, Maxam deals
