Balkrishna Industries, or BKT, has selected US marketing and communication company Red Moon Marketing as its official experiential agency of record. In this role, Red Moon Marketing will manage and coordinate all promotional activities related to BKT’s function as Monster Jam tyre manufacturer and supplier.
The sponsorship agreement between BKT and Feld Motor Sports was officialised at the Monster Jam World Finals in Las Vegas late last month, the tyre maker reports. The deal, which sees BKT supplying the Monster Jam vehicles through to 2018, was confirmed by BKT executive director Rajiv Poddar and Feld Entertainment CEO Kenneth Feld.

FIFA World Cup sponsor Continental Tyres has embarked on a national roadshow that aims to take a little piece of Brazil to football fans across England. For this ‘Road to Rio’ campaign, the tyre maker has teamed up with Isuzu Truck (UK), which has donated an Isuzu Grafter 3.5 tonne truck to transport Fuleco, the official Brazil 2014 mascot, from town to town. The roadshow began in Liverpool on 11 March and was launched by former Liverpool and England striker Robbie Fowler, a Road to Rio Ambassador for Continental Tyres. Road to Rio will continue until 11 May.

Effective immediately, the former head of purchasing is responsible for purchasing, sales and marketing and serves as managing director alongside Rolf Körbler, who had been sole managing director at point S Deutschland GmbH since December 2011. France’s Groupe Massa (MPSA) has been appointed the sole national importer for the Aeolus consumer tyre range, which was first introduced into Europe last year. The company began supplying Aeolus products to the French market at the start of February and has accompanied its new distribution with an advertising campaign.

Bridgestone has announced three new US-based marketing appointments within its Bridgestone Commercial Solutions business. Matt Loos has been promoted to director of truck and bus marketing, Michelle Lane has been promoted to director of off-the-road marketing, and Cassandra Kilareski has joined the Bridgestone Commercial Solutions marketing team as senior manager of marketing communications and digital.
Cooper Tire Europe has announced an extension to its range of Zeon CS Sport UHP tyres. The five new sizes – four XL and one standard – are all rated A for wet grip on the EU tyre label, meaning that the CS Sport range continues to offer an A-rating across all sizes and speed variants.
Monster Jam, the US-based Monster Truck event tour, has signed BKT Tires on as its official and exclusive tyre sponsor. Through to 2018, BKT will have an on-site presence at Monster Jam events held in over 100 cities in North America, and will also go international with Monster Jam in the near future. As part of the deal, the off-road tyre specialist has designed and developed a purpose-made tyre, the BKT Monster Jam Tire, for fitment on the Monster Jam truck fleet.
