Drawing upon research and technology that it has developed and proven in markets from Formula-E to Supercars, Ricardo’s new E-Axle transmission offers a balance of efficiency and performance, together with low total cost of ownership.
Since the launch of the high-performance engine assembly facility at the Shoreham Technical Centre in 2011, the Performance Products division of Ricardo has increased production six-fold and now regularly exceeds 20 engines per day – equivalent to an annual output of 5000.
The recent completion of a full EV sports car battery manufacturing concept programme by the Performance Products division of Ricardo is a significant milestone in the company’s aim to become the niche battery manufacturer of choice for high performance hybrids and EVs.
A total of over 2,000 engines were manufactured by Ricardo in the six months to the end of October – more than has been achieved in any previous full year.
British parts supplier Ricardo has announced a multi-year deal as the sole source of racing transmissions for the Japanese Super Formula series.
