MAM Online Workshop Management Software

MAM Software is introducing new software to help workshops manage their business effectively. Deployed as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Autowork Online will be accessed online via an Internet browser – so there’s no software to install, manage, or update.

Following-on from MAM’s popular Autowork application, Autowork Online will offer functionality for managing all core workshop activities including creating job cards and invoices, managing work diaries and maintaining accurate service records. Furthermore, it will provide a range of web-driven features including vehicle registration mark (VRM) lookup, Autocat+ parts cataloguing, repair times, technical data and online parts ordering.

MAM Software Relocating to Support Growth Plans

MAM Software is a company on the move, literally. The firm has announced it is relocating relocating its headquarters from Deepcar in Sheffield to new premises less than four miles away at Tankersley, just off J36 of the M1. The new office, comments MAM, will provide modern accommodation for the 92 employees currently based in Deepcar and will be furnished to the company’s specific requirements. The Tankersley site will incorporate a dedicated call centre for its Support Services department.

The new premises are integral in supporting MAM Software’s growth plans in the automotive and vertical markets. Managing director, Mike Jamieson, said: “MAM is committed to ensuring the move benefits both our employees and clients. These new premises are much better suited to our type of business. It will give us room for expansion and improvement, and provide a better working environment for all our staff.”

VRM Data Now Extended To Republic Of Ireland

MAM Software has announced that its VRM lookup solution now supports Republic of Ireland vehicle registrations, providing quick and easy vehicle identification from directly within Autocat+
A feature of the Autocat+ electronic catalogue, VRM helps identify and provide detailed specifications (make, model, cc, etc) associated with a particular vehicle. By providing accurate, comprehensive data, VRM lookup helps to ensure that the correct components are identified and also speeds up data entry.
“For motor factors, establishing and entering the correct vehicle information into a catalogue can be a time consuming process that is often prone to error” explained Mike Jamieson, MAM Software’s Managing Director. “Incorrect vehicle information increases returns or requires the shipment of alternative items. VRM lookup helps improve first-time-fit by providing accurate vehicle information to the catalogue.”

Aftermarket Trio Sign Up to MAM Autonet

MAM Software, a leading UK provider of aftermarket IT solutions, announced on March 28 that three aftermarket automotive suppliers – Pearl Automotive, Solid Auto (UK) Ltd and Sovereign Rotating Machines are installing MAM’s Autonet B2B Seller electronic trading solution to power their e-commerce initiatives. Their participation takes the total number of suppliers Autonet-enabled to almost 70.

Autonet B2B Seller will integrate with each supplier’s existing MAM Autopart systems and allow them to trade electronically with their individual motor factor customers. Autonet B2B Seller is fully compliant with the recently announced PACT protocols and will, says MAM, allow communication with most systems currently used by motor factors, including MAM’s own Autopart.

MAM Launches Autocat+ Version 5

Aftermarket software developer provider MAM Software is about to launch the latest version of its electronic catalogue solution Autocat+ Version 5, which provides motor factors and retailers with new tools for improving the identification and selection of automotive components from a range of over 170 aftermarket suppliers.

In this latest version, product identification will be improved with the introduction of a number of enhancements including improved data matching, VIN decoding and full-text note searches.

Allparts Chooses Autopart For Future Growth

Growth For MAM Software in First Half

MAM Software has announced that business remained buoyant in the first half of 2007 as the company sustained its solid growth rate of recent years. Despite increasing market saturation, product enhancements and innovations created additional interest that has helped MAM to win new business, says the company.

MAM Software Reports Successful Debut

MAM’s made its debut at the Brityrex show, in May. Having spent several months on continued software development, the company was pleased with the reception its new Autopart tyre software received, and is now reaping the dividends from the contacts it made at the show.

Introducing Autocat+ v4.0

MAM Software has launched Autocat+ v4.0, the next major release of its electronic parts cataloguing software for motor factors, accessory retailers and parts distributors. This introduces a number of significant enhancements to the application and further extends its functionality.

This latest version of Autocat+ is designed to run at a larger screen resolution of 1024px by 768px. This enables the software to display more information on the screen at any one time and has removed the need for scroll bars on some of the controls. As a result, the main parts grid now displays new fields including fuel type, body type, engine capacity, cylinders, cam, valve and transmission.

The introduction of new data columns gives users more fields on which to filter data. Combined with new progressive searching routines, Autocat+ v4 helps users to quickly and easily drill down data to find a match. With more information to search on, parts lookups are more accurate, increasing the likelihood of achieving ‘first-time-fit’.
