KBT Tyres new official Magna Tyres partner

Magna Tyres Group has appointed Christophe Cantou as sales manager for the region South France. Cantou has over 15 years of sales experience in the tyre industry and has worked for various well-known tyre companies. He will be working alongside Peter Schreudering and focus on the southern part of the country.
Magna Tyres Group has expanded its global sales team through the appointment of Christophe Cantou as sales manager for the Southern France region. He joins the company with over 15 years of sales experience within the tyre industry, having held positions at a number of well-known tyre firms. He begins in his new role on 14 March and will work alongside Peter Schreudering, who has been with Magna Tyres since 2012 and also serves the French market as sales manager.
Off-road tyre manufacturer Magna Tyres Group has confirmed its presence at the event billed as “the world’s largest trade show for construction and mining equipment and machinery”. The company says it will present its latest Magna and MTP brand tyres at the show.
Following on from its recent appointment of Stephan van Leeuwen as sales manager for the UK, Ireland and Italy, Magna Tyres has named another Stefan – this time Stefan Huber – its new regional sales manager for the south of Germany. From January 2016 he will work alongside Arno van der Linden, who has been employed as a Magna sales manager for Germany since spring 2015.
Magna Tyres Group has named Stephan van Leeuwen its new sales manager for the UK, Ireland and Italy regions. Van Leeuwen joins the company with over 25 years of experience as a sales manager within the tyre industry’s off-road and passenger car tyre segments.
In March 2015, industrial tyre manufacturer Magna Tyres announced that Reifen Helm would complement existing wholesaler Interpneu by distributing the Magna and MTP tyre brands in northern Germany, and last month it shared news that Reifen Lorenz had taken on that role in parts of central and southern Germany. This morning the company shared that, effective June, Reifen Müller KG will also serve as a partner for Magna and OTP in central and southern Germany.
Growing manufacturer of off-the-road (OTR), industrial and truck tyres, the Magna Tyres Group used its presence at Intermat to introduce various new tyres for different OTR applications. For construction and mining purposes the company introduced MA10 L5 and M-Terrain E4. The existing tyre pattern MA08 L5 for wheel loaders is from April 2015 also available in tyre size 20.5R25.
Following news in March that it had entered into a relationship with German wholesaler Reifen Helm, Magna Tyres now reports that as of May 2015 it operates a strategic alliance with wholesaler Reifen Lorenz. This regional wholesaler, like Reifen Helm, is considered an “ideal partner” for the further expansion of Magna Tyres’ OTR activities in Germany. Reifen Lorenz will distribute both the Magna brand and the new MTP range of OTR tyres.

Australian OTR tyre specialist Marathon Tyres has become premium partner for Magna OTR tyres in Australia. This new arrangement is said to build on the relationship between Magna Tyres and Marathon that began in 2013, and Magna describes Marathon Tyres as the “ideal partner” for the expansion of its OTR tyre activities in Australia. Provisions of the agreement grant Marathon Tyres the right to sell Magna branded OTR tyres utilised in the mining, construction, port handling and scrap metal/waste handling industries.
It looks like it will be a Happy New Year for Grantham-based firm Vacu-Lug Traction Tyres, as the company has announced it will begin distributing a new budget line of off-the-road tyres as soon as the end-of-year festivities are behind us. The range, named MTP, is produced by Magna Tyres Group and will act as Vacu-Lug’s official budget brand. Vacu-Lug says the brand’s inclusion in its product portfolio affirms the message that it is possible to offer a quality product to customers on a lower budget.
Finnish tyre wholesaler Ham-Re Oy has been appointed exclusive national distributor for Magna Tyres. While Magna Tyres has been present in the Finnish market for several years, it sees its new agreement with Ham-Re Oy as an important step for further OTR tyre segment market penetration in Finland. It says it “has found the ideal partner in Ham-Re Oy” to further expand its OTR tyre activities in Finland. “Both companies contribute a valuable and long-term experience of international tyre sales and distribution to their cooperation,” shared Magna Tyres in a statement.
OTR and industrial tyre specialist Magna Tyres Group reports that its debut as a TOC Europe exhibitor was a positive experience for the Netherlands-based company. Magna Tyres was present at the port handling trade show, held at ExCel London between 24 and 26 June, and shares that the amount of visitors exceeded its expectations. The company decided to exhibit at TOC Europe 2014 in order to further expand awareness of the Magna brand in the port handling segment and to reach a specific audience of port authorities, terminal operators and port equipment fleet managers. Based on the success enjoyed at this year’s show, Magna Tyres says it has already signed up for TOC Europe 2015 in Rotterdam.
Magna Tyres says it will launch its new Magna M-Straddle tyre in the US at next week’s ConExpo show in Las Vegas. The radial M-Straddle, available in tyre size 16.00R25, is specifically designed for use on straddle carriers in demanding port and terminal conditions. ConExpo is the first exhibition in the US where the M-Straddle will be showed.
