Following on from Philips RacingVision GT200 scooping Headlamp of the Year and H7 Best Buy honours in the previous Auto Express product mega test and awards, the latest edition of the Auto Express Headlamp Bulb tests – which in 2023 covers both H4 Halogen bulbs and D3S HiD Xenon headlamp bulbs – Philips bulbs have won the coveted ’Best Buy’ status across the board.
In what is set to be the first steps of a wider national initiative, Lumileds is delighted to have partnered with Coventry College’s Motor Vehicle Department for the supply of Philips vehicle lighting and workshop equipment. Coventry has long been one of the UK’s main centres for vehicle manufacturing and general automotive business, so it is fitting that Lumileds has been able to forge a link to the next generation of automotive technicians and engineers through Coventry College.

Auto Express given a big thumbs up to the latest Philips workshop lamp, the RCH 25. The RCH25 brings various key features to the workshop lamp sector, most notably, an adjustable light output to match the particular needs of a specific task.

Philips RacingVision has an illustrious history of winning Auto Express awards; most recently, it scooped the Best of Test accolade in 2016, Headlight Bulb of the Year 2017, Best of Test 2018 and now this year’s Headlight Bulb of the Year.

Philips RacingVision headlight bulbs, developed by Lumileds, have been named Auto Express Best Buy 2018. Auto Express is the UK’s best-selling weekly motoring magazine and the only publication in the UK to regularly test automotive upgrade products and accessories. In just over a decade, Philips bulbs have won Headlamp Bulb of the Year eight times, in addition to being awarded overall best Car Accessory of the Year.
