Hofmann Megaplan is building on the UK introduction of the “premium specification” Luxus garage equipment brand with the new megamount Luxus 70LLF tyre changer. The company says the range embodies a “best-in-class” concept, claiming the tyre changer is the “toughest” yet seen on the UK market. Made in Italy by a well-established producer of tyre changers, Hofmann Megaplan says the megamount Luxus 70LLF’s structure “goes back as far as the early 1980s – when more steel was used and the manufacturing process was arguably more ‘artisan’.” The unit comes with Luxus’ five-year warranty, an annual Service & Inspection from a Hofmann Megaplan factory-trained engineer, and features as standard that would often be considered extras.
The owner of engine management specialist, Hybrid Tune, has hailed MAHA’s MSR 500 as the “benchmark” following the installation of the four-wheel drive performance dynamometer in his new workshop in Suffolk.
Previously, Sam Weller and his team put cars through their paces on a two-wheel drive dynamometer; however, once he discovered the impact of MAHA’s four-wheel drive equivalent during a no-obligation demonstration in 2019, he was quickly persuaded to make the investment and upgrade.

Two new MOT lifts are being installed in DVA test centres in a bid to increase MOT capacity in Northern Ireland. The MOT process ground to a halt on 27 January 2020 when more 85 per cent of DVA lifts were deemed unsafe. Nevertheless, replacing MOT lifts is still likely to take months.
Serious issues with vehicle lifts have led to all MoT tests for cars and light vehicles in Northern Ireland being suspended with immediate effect as of 27 January 2020.

According to the two companies, the two firms have formed a third company that will allow Bright and the Nexion Group to “assert itself as a leader in the industry and be active on all global markets with a full range in all product segments from the top of the range to the entry level”.
