Knorr-Bremse, global market leader for braking systems and a leading supplier of other rail and commercial vehicle systems, has completed the sale of its subsidiary GT Emissions Systems to Rcapital Partners, a private equity fund from the UK. GT Emissions Systems, based in the Durham town of Peterlee, supplies emission control systems for diesel engines in on-highway commercial vehicles and off-highway vehicles. The transaction closed on 22 January.

Shortly afterwards, we reported how Pirelli, Continental and Hankook were rated as the top three tyremakers in the list. However, four automotive suppliers could also be found in the ranking, of which Continental AG came out 2nd.
Knorr-Bremse AG has made a takeover offer for all shares in Haldex. Knorr-Bremse is offering 110.00 Swedish krone per Haldex share, 10.0 per cent higher than ZF Friedrichshafen AG’s offer of 100.00 krone per Haldex share.
