Ferrari F80 riding on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R K1

Production of the Ferrari F80 is scheduled to begin in Q4 2025, and as Michelin told us last year, this mid-engine hybrid sports car will exclusively wear tailor made Pilot Sport Cup 2 R K1 tyres. It developed these tyres, capable of withstanding all the stresses associated with the power, torque, aerodynamic load, and maximum speed of the Ferrari F80, within just 15 months – an accomplishment akin to achieving an “impossible” feat, the tyre maker comments.

Michelin tyres selected for new Ferrari F80

Michelin will exclusively supply tyres for the Ferrari’s new F80 supercar. Michelin reports that it used technological advances including those from the world of motorsport, to meet the “extraordinary performance requirements” the Ferrari F80. What is even more impressive is that Michelin developed the tyre in just 15 months using its digital development technology to speed up the production process.
