Almost a year after presenting its first dedicated Long-Haul Trailer (LHT) tyre, Apollo Tyres has commenced deliveries of the Apollo EnduMile LHT. The tyre maker says EnduMile LHT provides “impressive levels of performance across the board,” including an A-rating for rolling resistance – a first for an Apollo Tyres truck tyre.
A key focus of Apollo Tyres’ medium-term strategy in Europe has been original equipment deliveries in the truck and bus sector. The tyre maker has realised this with its first partnership, which sees it supply Apollo EnduTrax tyres for the Iveco Way ranges.
Apollo Tyres will enter the European long-haul trailer market with its new commercial vehicle tyre, the EnduMile LHT. The first Apollo truck tyre to achieve an A-grade rating for fuel efficiency on the European tyre label, Apollo says the tyre will be the most durable and lowest rolling resistance truck-sector tyre it has ever produced. The tyre was launched at the manufacturer’s advanced production facility in Gyöngyöshalász, Hungary, where it is to be manufactured. The EnduMile LHT will be available to customers across Europe from early 2023.
Trailer manufacturer Schwarzmüller has selected Apollo Tyres’ EnduRace RT, EnduRace RT2 and EnduTrax MAHD tyres as original equipment for its truck trailers. This is Apollo’s first original equipment deal in the European truck sector.
With a market share around 30%, the Apollo brand is the strongest player in India’s enormous commercial vehicle segment. Apollo Tyres says its EnduRace RD2 has proven a great success since its launch last year. The existing size 315/80 R22.5 tyre will soon be joined by two further dimensions. As of this month, Apollo EnduRace RD2 is also available as a 315/70 R22.5 product, while a 295/80 R22.5 version will arrive next March.
Apollo Tyres is launching its first coach tyre, the all-new EnduComfort CA. It says the tyre “delivers premium levels of mileage, durability and all-weather grip” as well as “superior standards of comfort for passengers and drivers.” The Apollo EnduComfort CA is available in size 295/80 R22.5.
Apollo Tyres Europe has launched an all-new truck trailer tyre, the new EnduRace RT2. This second-generation range builds on the success of the EnduRace RT predecessor, and Apollo says it “provides excellent all-weather performance, reduced rolling resistance, and enhanced mileage and durability,” representing a “premium yet affordable solution for truck operators.” The tyre maker has also introduced a new generation regional drive axle fitment.
