Webfleet expands emissions reporting tool with Scope 2 addition

Webfleet, Bridgestone’s fleet management platform, has enhanced its CO₂ reporting tool by incorporating indirect emissions (Scope 2) alongside direct emissions (Scope 1). The tool now offers fleet operators more detailed options to track and report emissions using distance- and fuel-based calculation methods. Certified by verification body TÜV Rheinland, the CO₂ reporting tool enables consistent emissions tracking across vehicle types.

Webfleet study – AI & EVs to shape future fleet management

Fifty-eight per cent of fleet managers expect to implement artificial intelligence (AI) within the next five years, according to a new global study released by Webfleet to commemorate its 25th anniversary. The research, commissioned by Bridgestone’s fleet management solution, was conducted across 15 countries with 1,800 fleet managers participating to provide insights into the current and future landscape of fleet digitisation. The findings indicate a growing commitment to increasing investment in digital fleet solutions, with AI and electric vehicle (EV) technologies expected to play a central role.

Bridgestone to highlight fleet solutions at IAA Transportation 2024

Bridgestone will return to IAA Transportation in Hannover, Germany, from 17 to 22 September 2024, where it will showcase its advancements in fleet management solutions. The event will serve as a platform for Bridgestone to demonstrate technologies it has specifically designed to enhance the efficiency, productivity, safety, and sustainability of commercial fleets.

Fleet electrification: Bridgestone & BIA join forces

Bridgestone appoints Mobility Solutions business unit leaders

Bridgestone has appointed Jan-Maarten de Vries and Michiel Wesseling as CEO and COO of its Bridgestone Mobility Solutions (BMS) business unit. Thomas Schmidt, the co-founder of Webfleet, will be leaving Bridgestone and his role as CEO and managing director of the BMS business unit at the end of this year. These changes are effective 1 January 2021.
