Falken’s recently launched short film, ‘A Monument to the Art of Racing,’ has been nominated for the ‘Best Event Film’ prize at the International Motor Film Awards 2023. We’ll have to wait a month to find out whether the judging panel has chosen the Falken film – this year’s winners will be announced during a ceremony at Alexandra Palace in London on 21 September.
Falken has been nominated for an International Motor Film Award in the Best Event Film category for its Nürburgring 24 hour race feature, ‘A Declaration of Love’. The brand previously won the prize in 2021 with its short film ‘Whatever Comes Our Way’. Production company Motionctrl, Falken’s long-term video collaborator shot the nominated film on location. Falken has received two nominations for its films at the “International Motor Film Awards 2021”. The series #passthewheel (Best Journalistic Film), released in summer 2020, and the annual film about the Nürburgring 24-hour race (Best Event Film), are both on this year’s shortlist for the prestigious awards. Last year, Falken’s film, “20 Years in 20 Stories”, created to mark two decades of the tyre brand at the Nürburgring, was the first from a European tyre brand to be nominated for “Best Documentary Feature”.
