Under the new stewardship of Standard Motor Products Europe (SMPE), the Lucas brand is celebrating its partnership with GB Men’s ice hockey team, after its momentous victory at the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.
When the best 16 ice hockey teams meet in Slovakia from May 10 to battle it out for the title of world champion, Liqui Moly will be part of the fray. The German oil and additive specialist is a sponsor of the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. “The tournament wonderfully complements our motor sport activities,” says Ernst Prost, Liqui Moly CEO.
In Denmark the best national teams will cross sticks at the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship from May 4 to 20. The German oil and additive specialist Liqui Moly is the official sponsor of the competitions that will be carried out in Copenhagen and Herning.
Following on from its exclusive tyre partnership with English Premier League club Everton F.C in August, Davanti has announced that it is now sponsoring the German Augsburger Panthers ice hockey team.
German oil specialist Liqui Moly has extended its programme of winter sports sponsorship with the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, held in Germany and France during May. “The World Championship is the last major international winter sports event this season. The nations involved are all very important markets to us,” says Liqui Moly marketing director Peter Baumann.
Bridgestone has announced Swedish NHL hockey star Alexander Steen of St Louis Blues as its Swedish product ambassador at a showcase for the manufacturer’s new studded Noranza 001 winter tyre. The Noranza 001 has been developed to perform on icy surfaces, following intensive customer research before the tyre was manufactured. The event, hosted at The Ice Bra, Stockholm, included a detailed presentation on the Noranza from Bridgestone Sweden’s sales manager Fredrik Adlerstam.
With the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) 2015/16 season drawing to a close, Autoparts UK was invited to celebrate a successful season sponsoring Braehead Clan, who finished third in the table. Craig McCracken, Autoparts UK group managing director, attended the Glasgow-based team’s final game of the season, and was given the honour of dropping the puck to get the proceedings underway.
Earlier this year it announced plans to invest around £690 million to build a new 12 million tyre per annum factory, and now Nexen Tire has further strengthened its relationship with the Czech Republic by signing up as a sponsor for ice hockey team BK Mladá Boleslav. The agreement covers the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 seasons and will give the tyre maker brand exposure in the stadium at home games and on player equipment, including helmets.
