Cornwall’s first Hawkeye Elite operator receives Pro-Align award

Cornwall’s first workshop to be equipped with a Hunter HawkEye Elite TD wheel alignment system is the latest site to be recognised as Pro-Align’s Alignment Centre of the Month. Xpress Tyres in Falmouth was given the May award, having installed the new equipment two months ago. The company says the Elite TD is being used up to 10 times a day. Pro-Align says this can be attributed to speculative alignment checks, which are being carried out on almost every car that passes through the workshop for any purpose.

QuickCheck to aid alignment speculation – Pro-Align

Wheel alignment equipment distributor Pro-Align has continued to transmit a message of alignment services’ increased revenue potential, while seeking to raise professional alignment standards by launching a two-day assessed course teaching workshop technicians advanced wheel alignment practice. The company says that it championed the idea of a “speculative wheel alignment check” as a service most recently to highlight the speed of the new Hunter Elite TD. The company says that the check using this equipment lasts 90 seconds, showing the possibility of rapidly measuring all 14 primary alignment angles, identifying cars that were out of alignment quickly and accurately. Measurements using the machinery are carried out to the same high standards that motor manufacturers themselves would measure to and would uncover any important chargeable adjustment work.

First overseas Pro-Align award winner announced

Fastlane Ltd in Malta has been awarded Pro-Align’s Alignment Centre of the Month for April – the first time the accolade has been awarded outside of the UK. Paul Beaurain, managing director, Pro-Align, said: “Fastlane is resolute about being the alignment specialist in Malta and continues to work hard to expand its business. They are incredibly enthusiastic in everything they do and are a worthy winner of our April award.”

Pro-Align’s QuickCheck provides quick alignment diagnostics

Wheel alignment equipment distributor, Pro-Align has launched a new complementary alignment diagnostic system. QuickCheck provides a rapid six point preliminary alignment reading, helping workshops to pre-filter potentially misaligned vehicles in less than a minute, according to Pro-Align. The company says the diagnostic system will allow workshops to improve the efficiency and returns of their existing equipment.

Pro-Align sets new alignment speed record

Wheel alignment specialist Pro-Align has set a new record by aligning twelve cars in thirty minutes. The record was set using the new range-topping Hunter HawkEye Elite TD system. “Speed and efficiency is of critical importance to workshops that utilise their alignment bays fully, so we set ourselves the challenge of measuring as many cars as possible in thirty minutes to demonstrate the true capabilities of our new Hunter Elite TD system,” explains Paul Beaurain, managing director, Pro-Align. “We were delighted with how many measurements we achieved and the evidence really backs up our claims about the impressive speed and potential of our new system.”

Aston Martin signs global deal with Hunter

Luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin will use the Hunter HawkEye four wheel imaging aligner and GSP9700 Road Force Balancer to be used in its dealerships around the world. Paul Beaurain, managing director of Pro-Align, which exclusively distributes Hunter products in the UK said: “It’s a real feather in our cap for Hunter to have the endorsement of such a prestigious sports car manufacturer as Aston Martin.” Pro-Align worked with Aston Martin to gain its approval for the deal.

Jet Wheel Tyre talks Hunter aligner revenue boost

The director of a three-branch garage is reporting a “sharp increase” in alignment revenue following the installation of Hunter’s latest aligners from UK distributor Pro-Align. The company said the accuracy and reliability of the premium machinery, the transparency the machines offer Jet Wheel Tyre’s customers and Pro-Align’s ability to fit the Hunter machinery into tight spaces were the most important factors in its selection of wheel aligners.

Pro-Align Maintains Service Through Winter with Seasonal Tyre Fitment

The company says this should help maintain the high levels of support and assistance, whatever the weather this coming winter. Pro-Align Debuts “Efficient” Hunter RX40 Alignment Lift Console

Workshops looking to increase service bay efficiency can now view the latest Hunter RX40 wheel alignment lift console, following installation of the equipment by Pro-Align’s at its Northamptonshire headquarters. The latest addition to Pro-Align’s range of advanced wheel alignment equipment features automatic tyre inflation and remote locking of turn plates and slip plates, saving technicians from walking up to five extra laps around the vehicle. Wheel alignment measurements readings can now be delivered in as little as two minutes, according to the garage equipment supplier, significantly increasing productivity and vehicle throughput.

‘Rolling Compensation’ Offered by New Pro-Align Sensor

A new addition to the range of conventional sensors offered by Pro-Align is intended to offer garages even quicker wheel alignment measurements. As Pro-Align explains, unlike many conventional sensors, its new DSP700 series sensors allow users to carry out ‘rolling compensation,’ making the measurement process much quicker and easier than the traditional jacking compensation method. The wheel alignment specialist estimates that measurement times can be reduced by as much as 60 per cent.

Arrest Made Following Stockport Tyre Fire

A 16-year old boy has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a blaze that destroyed a tyre business in Stockport. The fire at AL Tyres, in Sheffield Street, Heaton Norris was lit some time shortly after 8pm on the evening of October 12, and during the course of the evening around 60 firefighters were engaged in containing and extinguishing the blaze.

With the recession biting and more of the aftermarket looking to wheel alignment servicing to generate revenue and increase profit margins, Pro-Align is its new Hunter HawkEye ‘Special’ alignment system at an economical price. The idea is to increase access to premium quality products by offering an entry-level model at a competitive price.

The HawkEye Special is very similar to the Hunter HawkEye 100 model, with the only real difference being it uses a two camera system instead of the four camera system of its sibling. The camera lift system offers versatility enabling the HawkEye Special to operate at variable adjustment height. Pro-Align Appoints New Area Sales Managers

Wayne Rogers and Jarett Lathey have joined Pro-Align to manage sales for the East and South East counties.

Rogers joins Pro-Align having been in the industry for over ten years: “I have watched Pro-Align progress over the years and in my opinion they very much have their fingers on the pulse. Since joining I have also come to appreciate why Hunter equipment is world leading! It is their quality, level of technology, the aims to make every job as easy as possible, whilst maximising profitability and savings for the end user, no matter the size and status.”

Lathey brings extensive sales experience to Pro-Align, although new to alignment equipment (having sold power tool equipment previously). He has found, he says, the right balance between technical/sales giving the challenge he was looking for in his career. “Although I have been with Pro-Align only a short time, I have learnt so much… I am very impressed by the Pro-Align set up. As a company they are professional, well organised and offer their customers a very high standard of service. I have definitely made the right move!”
