Around two years ago, Heuver Tyrewholesale named Germany as its second ‘home market’, and since then the wholesaler’s customer base there has continued to grow. In response, Heuver has now enlarged its German account team with the appointment of Mark Engemann, who takes on responsibility for the region of Saxony-Thuringia.
When Tyres & Accessories spoke with Bertus Heuver earlier this year, he shared that Heuver Tyrewholesale was adopting a more geographic-based strategy in regards to its marketing, and was in the process of appointing new team members to enable the wholesaler’s national teams to cover all areas of Europe where it regularly does business. Four members have been added to the Heuver team in recent months.
Heuver Tyrewholesale will exhibit the range of Aeolus tyres it distributes in some European markets from Hall 2, Stand 2E48. Heuver says it maintains an active trade fair schedule with a lot of time for maintaining and expanding customer relations, while also highlighting the latest Aeolus brand products. Heuver will also feature the Athlete brand of wheels, and the latest agricultural tyres by Linglong, with whom Heuver has established an exclusive contract in some European markets.
Heuver Tyrewholesale is promoting its exclusive distribution of its own brand “Athlete Wheels” in Europe. Heuver reports that it has been able to compile “a complete range of wheels that meets the latest trends in the European market.” The Athlete Wheels range features steel wheels suitable for trucks and trailers. The range now also includes sizes 11.75-19.5 ET120 and 14.00-19.5 ET120 for the latest BPW Ecodisc axles.
Heuver Tyrewholesale has announced it will once again attend the Reifen trade show, which takes place in Essen, Germany this May. The wholesaler says its trade fair schedule features a lot of time for maintaining and expanding customer relations, while also highlighting the latest products by its important and exclusive (in eight markets) brand Aeolus. In terms of wheel rims, Heuver will give specific attention to the Athlete brand. It will also focus on the latest agricultural tyres by LingLong, which Heuver distributes in a number of markets. The Heuver stand can be found in Hall 2, stand number 2E48.
Although Heuver Tyrewholesale experienced a “slow and somewhat difficult start” to 2013, the Netherlands-based wholesaler says it ended the year with a healthy balance sheet. This positive performance was aided by improvements to the company’s website and online shop – Heuver says online turnover again increased compared with recent years. Changes in the Benelux and German markets also benefitted customers by enabling them to place more regular orders for smaller quantities of tyres.
Several months ago a new rail freight service commenced between China and the German port city of Hamburg, and Heuver Tyrewholesale reports it intends to use this service as an additional channel for its tyre transport from China.
Amongst the news announced at the Agritechnica 2013 show was that Netherlands-based truck and off-road tyre specialist Heuver Tyrewholesale has obtained exclusive rights in a number of European countries to distribute the agricultural range from one of China’s best-known tyre makers. Heuver will initially focus on distributing the LingLong agricultural range in Germany and the Benelux markets.
At present, Heuver Tyrewholesale is forming a customer support ‘expert team’ for the German speaking markets, and Gert Timmer, who currently manages the company’s agricultural business unit, will take on responsibility for the Bavaria and Austria regions as part of this team. He joins four other experienced customer support professionals in the new German markets team, and will be present with his colleagues at November’s Agritechnica show.
Netherlands-based wholesaler Heuver Tyrewholesale has appointed two new account managers for Germany, Detlev Schwarznecker and Sebastiaan Vlierman.
As part of Heuver Tyrewholesale’s plan to create country-specific sales teams, the Netherlands-based wholesaler has hired Marjolein Dangremond as sales representative for its earthmover tyres business. Dangremond began in her new role on 1 April and will be the ‘right hand woman’ of manager Bert van ´t Holt. Her focus will be on international markets, particularly French-speaking ones.
Dutch wholesaler Heuver Tyrewholesale has appointed Dewy Mulder its new marketing manager. She succeeds Maureen Voortman in this role following Voortman’s promotion within the company. In her new role, Mulder takes on marketing responsibility for both Heuver’s wholesale business and the company’s Profile Tyrecenter retail outlets.
In a press release, Heuver Tyrewholesale shares that “despite difficulties in the market,” the wholesaler “managed to end 2012 on a positive note.” The Netherlands-based company states that, taking market conditions into consideration, its performance last year is viewed with satisfaction.
Heuver Tyrewholesale is well known for its distribution of the Aeolus brand in eight key European markets, however the wholesaler is active throughout most of Europe and also offers a number of competitive ranges for the countries where it doesn’t deal in Aeolus. This year, another brand has been added to this portfolio.
