Goodyear has appointed Ben Crawley to the position of Sales General Manager Replacement Consumer Europe North and Rob van Leersum as Sales General Manager Replacement Truck Europe North.

Goodyear India CFO Mundra resigns
Goodyear India Limited reports the resignation of its Chief Financial Officer, Manish Mundra. In a letter dated 1 May 2024, Mundra informed Goodyear India’s Board of Directors of his intention to part ways with the company, effective from the close of business hours on 30 June 2024. Munish explains that he wishes to explore “professional growth opportunities outside the organisation.”

The first round of the FIA World Endurance Championship in Qatar marked LMGT3’s arrival to the championship, with Goodyear as the exclusive tyre supplier. Through the introduction of its new LMGT3 tyre specification and enhancements to logistical support, Goodyear claims to have aligned with WEC and FIA’s sustainability goals, driving efforts towards a cleaner and more environmentally responsible sport.
Conti acquisition of Goodyear OTR ‘a complementary fit’ and analysts’ preferred ‘area for capital allocation’
Valuing Goodyear’s for-sale OTR tyre business at between $800 million and $1 billion, financial analysts have evaluated a hypothetical acquisition of the unit by Continental AG as “a complementary fit”. New legislation applicable to Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) will come into effect within the European Union from 7 July. The new law outlines the minimum operating standard for TPMS devices, including the data that’s displayed to drivers in real-time.

Goodyear introduces new RL-5K OTR tyre with three-star load capacity
GoodyearGoodyear has launched the new three-star RL-5K Off-the-Road (OTR) tyre for large wheel loaders and wheel dozers. The RL-5K is Goodyear’s newest radial OTR tyre in the 45/65R45 tyre size and is constructed to withstand the air pressure necessary to deliver an increased three-star load capacity, which translates to a 16 per cent increase in load carrying capacity, based on Tyre & Rim Association data versus RL-5K two-star predecessor in this size The RL-5K with three-star capacity also features a deep, 250-level durable tread to deliver cut resistance and traction in severe underfoot conditions.

Dunlop debuts All Season 2

As a value product, the Dunlop All Season 2 arrives in a segment of the all-season market that, according to Goodyear’s projection, will grow an estimated two to three per cent annually between 2023 and 2028.
