Kwik Fit extends Goodwood Festival of Speed partnership

Kwik Fit will be an Official Partner at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard (23-26 June 2022). The UK’s largest automotive servicing and repair network debuted in this role in 2021, and has promised “an even greater presence at the world’s biggest celebration of motorsport and car culture.” Kwik Fit will showcase its British Touring Car Championship activities and its expertise in car repair and electric vehicle technology from a bespoke Kwik Fit Centre.

LMPH2G hydrogen racer coming to Goodwood with Michelin

The GreenGT LMPH2G is making make its UK debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The hydrogen-powered MissionH24 endurance race car will contest the hillclimb and be showcased on the Michelin Supercar Paddock stage every day of the four-day event.

Goodwood Festival of Speed 2020 postponed

Goodwood took the decision to postpone the Festival of Speed until later in 2020 on 26 March, following advice received from the UK government and Public Health England. It was scheduled for 9-12 July. The organiser said that it is currently exploring potential alternative dates for late summer or early autumn, with tickets remaining valid for the new date. Several key tyre companies will await developments with interest, as Goodwood events are often employed as a platform for UK UHP and competition tyre marketing.

Goodwood debut for Continental Extreme E tyres

NIO EP9 electric production car makes debut at 2018 Festival of Speed

The NIO EP9, in the hands of racing driver Peter Dumbreck, has become the fastest electric production car to ever ascend the iconic hill in front of Goodwood House at the weekend. With a time of 44.32 seconds in the Festival of Speed’s ‘Final Shoot Out’, the time also represents the fifth fastest official timed run to be set during the event’s entire 25-year history.

‘Track to street’ tyre technology a Michelin Goodwood focus

Michelin says its central exhibition at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed exhibition will pay tribute to the new breed of road-going race cars this year, under the theme ‘Track to Street.’ The main stand will feature a host of fantastic and extreme cars that show the various different types of road-legal racing cars, depicting the progression from all out track car to high performance road cars.

Kumho looks back on 2015 motorsport successes

Maxxis-sponsored Ultra4 Europe competes on Goodwood’s Hillclimb

4×4 series organisers Ultra4 Europe exhibited at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, allowing the Maxxis-sponsored championship to display its skills in one of the most famous time trials in motorsport. Team Gigglepin Racing driver Jerry Hunt explains: “Being invited to exhibit at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed was very special for us. For years we have dreamed of showing off our off-road vehicles at this prestigious event, so to be selected to display and drive them amongst some of the finest from around the world at this year’s Festival of Speed is something both I and the team are very proud of.”

Falken, James Deane bring smoke to Goodwood Festival of Speed

Falken was able to put the spotlight on its drifting activities at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend, in conjunction with European drift champion and Falken Motorsports professional drifter James Deane. Deane was one of the few to be invited to drift the prestigious hillclimb in front of over 300,000 fans in attendance, and hundreds of thousands more online.
