Launch UK has launched the X431 PRO 3S diagnostic tool. Offering a full fault system diagnosis for a comprehensive list of American, Asian and European vehicle manufacturers, Launch says it is “one of the most reliable, all-encompassing diagnostic tools available.”
Netherlands based automotive and garage equipment supplier – Gaither Europe exhibited the firm’s newly-extended jack range during May’s Essen show.
Taking centre-stage on the booth this year was an impressive selection of air-hydraulic jacks and in particular model GT4534 which has an entrance height of just 130mm yet it delivers a capacity of 45/20/10 tons.
Launch UK is offering a 24 month warranty on key diagnostic products. The warranty covers products including: Launch CRP123 CReader Professional; Launch CRP129 CReader Professional; Launch CRP229 CReader professional; Launch X431 Euro Pad; Launch X431 Euro Pad II; Launch X431 Pro; and Launch X431 Pro II.
Norbar has warned British drivers to check their wheel nut torque if they are changing their vehicles over to winter tyres in the coming weeks.
The advantages of winter tyres have been understood in Europe for many years, with tens of millions of motorists changing their wheels to those fitted with winter tyres in October or November and back again in the spring. In fact, so great is the change in Europe that it creates a significant spike in torque wrench demand from tyre fitters and drivers, eager to ensure that wheel nuts are tightened correctly.
The Vehicle Identity Check (VIC) scheme that is required before repaired write-offs are allowed back on the road is to be abolished from 26 October 2015.

Available via YouTube, there are three different videos focusing on setting up, registering & updating and also using the X-431 PRO 3 on a daily basis. Workshop tools supplier, Pichler Tools has launched a new software system which they believe will boost productivity, and support continued sales growth. OrderWise, from supplier Wise Software, offers support through a strong UK base, which includes a staff team of nearly 100 people, as well as a community of over 8,500 active users.
Bringing speed and precision to wheel removal and fitting in the workshop
Winntec has launched the Winntec Wheel Assist, a product which aims to bring speed and precision to wheel removal and fitting. Operating as a standalone piece of workshop equipment, the Winntec Wheel Assist uses gas springs to enable workshop technicians to remove or replace wheels.
The Parts Alliance has launched a national tool hire programme. Designed to allow independent garages and workshops to retain business by improving access to specialist tools, Toolhireclub.com, is described as “a first” for a motor factor group. 300 special service tools and pieces of diagnostic equipment covering every major area of service and repair are available for hire. The Parts Alliance says it will allow garage owners to hire tools at low cost that in some cases would cost thousands of pounds to buy and would otherwise be beyond their budget.
Bosch has launched a diagnostic tool, which the company says its “flagship” model. The DCU 220 is designed to be a “future-proof diagnostic solution, giving businesses the ability to tackle the increasing number of complex vehicles on the road”, according to Bosch. Indeed, the company reports that the DCU220 combines the features of a traditional notebook with those of a tablet.
Hunter-brand garage equipment distributor Pro-Align has launched the new EasiPush onto the UK market. The EasiPush was developed to help workshops move commercial vehicles a short distance forward in order to carry out the rolling compensation check in the wheel alignment process. The innovative device is now available as a stand-alone tool to help operators manoeuvre vehicles in cramped workshops safely.
