Under its flagship Radar Tyres brand, Omni United has signed a multi-year contract with Singapore Golf Association (SGA) to support and promote upcoming golfing talent. This partnership will see Omni United financially support the training and competition-related expenses of golfers who previously represented Singapore at an elite amateur level during the early stages of their professional careers.
France’s famous tyre maker would scowl if Toyota named its latest model the Michelin, and a car named the VW Firestone would be unthinkable, too. With this in mind, Omni United is more than a little unhappy with the name Zhejiang Geely Holding Group has chosen for its “high-end new energy outdoors lifestyle vehicle brand.” The tyre company thus has Radar on its radar and is seeking to block Geely’s use of the name.
Omni United is launching a range of tyres for electric vehicles under its flagship Radar brand. The line-up includes a dedicated EV tyre aimed primarily at the North American market, the Radar All Season EV, as well as EV-compatible fitments in the Dimax and RPX lines which apparently will be available in Europe.
Singapore-based tyre firm Omni United has commenced a partnership with GFG Style, an Italian automotive design house founded in 2015 upon the design experience of Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro. Under the partnership, GFG takes on the remit of designing Omni’s flagship brand, Radar Tyres. Omni anticipates that GFG’s influence will “take Radar’s product offering to the next level” and enhance the brand’s consumer appeal.
