Fiat 500 & Panda to roll on Hankook tyres

Once the 50:50 merger Peugeot S.A. (Groupe PSA) and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (FCA) is completed, the new group will be called Stellantis.
According to the companies, Stellantis is rooted in the Latin verb “stello” meaning “to brighten with stars”.
Bridgestone has confirmed that it will supply its Turanza Eco as original equipment on the VW ID.3 electric car. In doing so, the tyre manufacturer joins Continental and Goodyear in supplying rubber for the model. The Turanza Eco is equipped with Bridgestone’s Enliten technology, which reduces weight. Goodyear’s EfficientGrip Performance and Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyres have been selected by Fiat as original equipment for the newly revealed 500X. Nexen is to supply the Fiat-Chrysler Group with its CP 671 tyre for fitment on the 500X, Fiat’s first crossover model. The Nexen-Fiat contract will see Nexen supply original equipment (OE) tyres from February, when the 500X enters production.
