With yet another raft of measures to curb the spread of Covid 19 being introduced by government, the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA), which represents franchised car and commercial vehicle retailers in the UK, has intervened in an attempt to clarify the situation vis-à-vis car dealerships.
Michelin staff have produced thousands of protective face masks at a temporary manufacturing centre in Stoke-on-Trent. The masks have been used to keep colleagues, customers, and the community safe in the Covid-19 pandemic. The Michelin Athletic Club, close to its factory and office, housed volunteers and furloughed staff producing the masks following extensive training.
Autogem has created a triple-layer, reusable anti-bacterial facemask. The new product has been added to the TPMS and workshop consumables supplier in response to the needs of customers during the COVID-19 outbreak. The ‘gemCare’ masks, which are non-medical grade and will therefore not affect the supply chain to the NHS, are designed by medical professionals. Autogem added that the masks are intended to complement other protective measures, such as washing hands and maintaining social distancing.
