Varga gives Kenda tyre Middle East debut at Automechanika Dubai
Hot on the heels of Kenda’s Reifen show stand in Essen, Germany, Varga Trading Company is using Automechanika Dubai as the platform to showcase the Middle East debut of the new KR-50 from Kenda. The KR 50 will be positioned as a fuel-efficient tyre for Crossover Utility Vehicles (CUVs) with special features like extreme siping and four wide circumferential grooves for improved braking performance, a solid centre rib for better flexibility and will better comfort at high speeds.
US to gain dedicated tyre show
Latin Expo Group, the company behind Panama-based shows the Latin American & Caribbean Tyre Expo and Latin Auto Parts Expo, has announced the creation of a dedicated tyre show in the US. News of the World Tire & Retread Expo was given by Latin Expo Group CEO Gustavo Lima at Reifen 2014; the inaugural show will take place from 15 to 17 April 2015 in the US city of New Orleans.
Reifen 2014 opens
Reifen 2014 has opened at Messe Essen, Germany. 670 exhibitors from 44 countries are exhibiting this year, including two thirds from outside Germany, making it one of Germany’s most international expos. Many of the world’s leading tyre and related industries sector, including the 20 largest tyre manufacturers, are present at the show, which continues until Friday, 30 May. The exhibition organiser said that it expects 19,000 visitors from 130 countries during the show’s four days.
Kenda to “focus on Europe” in Essen
‘Focus on Europe’ will be Kenda’s motto when the Taiwanese tyre manufacturer Kenda makes its debut appearance at Reifen 2014 in Essen in May. Kenda will present its current European portfolio and its first product development for the European market to trade visitors in the manufacturer’s hall (Hall 3, Stand 3A40).
SingEx-ECI sponsoring new NTDA marketing award
SingEx-ECI, the owner and organiser of Brityrex International, is to sponsor a new award at this year’s NTDA Tyre Industry Awards. The Marketing Initiative Award will recognise originality and creativity in the marketing and promotion of products or services and will extend and complement the existing suite of NTDA awards.

The 5th China (Guangrao) International Rubber Tire & Auto Accessory Exhibition talkes place between 15 and 17 May 2014. According to organiser the China International Trade Promotion Committee, more than 600 exhibitors from China and overseas are expected at this year’s show. Nordic Tyres to profile Nokian PCR ranges at Brityrex International 2014
Making its debut at the British tyre industry show Brityrex on 7-9 October 2014, Nordic Tyres has announced that it will showcase Nokian Tyres’ PCR and 4×4 ranges. The Lockerbie based company is the sole UK distributor of the Finnish manufacturer’s products, including its forestry, agricultural and industrial tyre ranges. The exhibition will take place at EventCity, Manchester.
BKT to exhibit at Samoter 2014 with local distributor
Prior to its presence at Reifen 2014, BKT will partner with Italian market distributor Industrial Gomme at Samoter 2014, the triennial international exhibition for earthmoving and construction vehicles that this year takes place in Verona from 8 to 11 May. At their joint stand, the two companies will showcase products from the BKT industrial range, including the Loader Special (L5) and Earthmax SR 30 and SR 45 and AS.
Schrader to exhibit EZ-Sensor, with plans for ‘almost 100%’ market coverage
Leading global manufacturer in TPMS and valve solutions Schrader will exhibit from an open booth at Hall 1 Stand C30, inviting customers to get a first-hand experience of TPMS. Schrader technology can be found in more than 50 per cent of global OEM vehicle platforms, with more than 275 million Schrader sensors currently produced and installed.
Tech Europe to exhibit T-Pro
Lisburn, Northern Ireland based Tech Europe will showcase its current product range, as well as new products and innovations from Hall 11, Stand C15 in its . The company says it will include developments in TPMS, including the T-Pro programmable sensor and the new VT56 Diagnostic tool from ATEQ, as well as a TPMS e-commerce solution, retreading and OTR repairing materials, an online portfolio of Tech tyre repairs and wheel service solutions, the Pang Industrial range, RFID technology, and a new range of mounting pastes and hand-cleaners.
ATEQ Europe to present VT56 OBDII diagnostic tool
TPMS diagnostic tool world leader ATEQ will present its new VT56 OBDII in Hall 1 Stand C42 at Reifen 2014. The manufacturer says the VT56 is the first TPMS tool to offer adaptability to the technician’s needs. The tool features an ergonomic keypad and provides sensor triggering and programming. It also features a high-resolution 4.3-inch colour display. Video of the tool in action is available below.

Falken Tyre Europe to present widest ever product range at Reifen 2014
Sumitomo tyre brand Falken’s European team will present its largest and most diverse range of road tyres ever, highlighting its recent innovations in product development technology. Highlights from the range – encompassing car, SUV and commercial vehicle tyres – will include the first public presentation of both the new Azenis FK453 Run-Flat tyre and energy efficient Sincera SN832 EcoRun tyre, launched at Ascari in spring 2014.
Maxxis to launch Energtra MEco3, present European growth strategy
Maxxis will launch its highly anticipated Energtra MEco3 at Messe Essen’s Reifen 2014. The new passenger car tyre comes with an enhanced contact patch for improved handling and wet performance. Maxxis has described its “steely determination to maximise every opportunity that presents itself” at Reifen 2014. The manufacturer’s senior management and research and development teams will be present in order to make the most of having access to so many new and existing customers in one place over the course of the four-day event.
