Dunlop has confirmed its entrance onto the all-season tyre market. The new Dunlop Sport All Season is designed to provide performance handling across a wide temperature range. The tyre is three-peak mountain snowflake certified, for mobility in winter road conditions. The manufacturer states that the tyres is particularly suited for countries with relatively moderate winter temperatures.
Dunlop’s new all-season tyre will be called the Sport All Season. The Goodyear brand revealed details for the forthcoming tyre for the European market on its German website. It would be the first all-season model released under the Dunlop brand for many years, with no predecessor currently in the range to replace. The latest generation of all-season tyres have continued to be a major focus of premium brand manufacturers, with sales of such products showing sustained improvement in both volume and price. The new tyre does not use the directional tread popularly employed in many of the latest wave of all-season tyres, instead opting for a performance-focused asymmetric pattern.

The Mini Challenge returns this weekend for its second set of races since its Covid-delayed start at Donington Park (1-2 August). The JCW field is linked to the British Touring Car Championship, both as a support series for the first time in 2020 and by virtue of its switch from Dunlop rubber to European sister brand Goodyear, which supplies the BTCC. The move to Goodyear, in the final year of its 2017 penned Dunlop supply deal, signifies the continued realignment of the Goodyear brand within motorsport. Having already returned to the international stage with top-flight series like the FIA World Endurance Championship, Goodyear wants to expand its presence in national series too. The Mini Challenge JCWs run on a variation of Goodyear’s new Eagle F1 SuperSport slick tyre range. The company stresses the strength of this move for the development of competitors looking to make the step up to the headline BTCC series.
154 days since the last race at Valkenswaard, Netherlands, Glenn Coldenhoff restarted the FIM Motocross World Championship season off in winning form, taking victory with Dunlop tyres at Kegums, Latvia. Earlier in the day, Coldenhoff narrowly missed out on the Race 1 win by 1.9 seconds. Eddy Seel, MXGP event leader, Dunlop: “It was great to see MXGP return to action after a five-month break, and even better that Coldenhoff and GasGas took a memorable victory with Dunlop Geomax tyres.
