ATS Euromaster increasing wheel security training

ATS Euromaster has released a specialised training DVD designed to demonstrate the best practice in wheel security. The disc illustrates the correct procedures for preparing, removing, inspecting and fitting the most common types of commercial vehicle wheels. It will be distributed across ATS-E’s commercial, car and van network, covering more than 2,000 employees including centre operations managers and technicians nationwide. Group Sales director at ATS-E, Peter Fairlie said that the DVD will help “demonstrate the real dangers of not following procedures” and reinforce the network’s message of making “safety a personal choice for every member of staff”.

AlloyGator appoints Auto4 as distributor

AlloyGator, designer and manufacturer of a British-made alloy wheel protection system, has announced the appointment of Auto4 as its UK distributor. The company says the agreement will help strengthen its UK distribution and support significant growth. Starco unveils new jointly-developed Kenda municipal tyres

NDI appoints Brazilian AP+ distributor

Nordisk Dæk Import A/S (NDI) reports that as of August 2012 RDP Industria de Peças Agrícolas Ltda. will serve as exclusive distributor in Brazil for the Danish company’s range of AP+ Dual wheels. RDP has been involved in Brazil’s agricultural sector since 1974 and primarily distributes to tractor and machinery producers in Brazil; the company also supplies the aftermarkets in Paraguay, Argentina, Chile and Bolivia.

The Firenza truck tyre range has been specifically produced to provide a high quality alternatively in the mid-market sector, according to company representatives. And the brands position in the UK has been developed through the “strong partnership [that] has been forged in the UK between Firenza and International Tyres & Trading based in the West Midlands.” International Tyres are the exclusive distributor of the brand and the company reportedly provides “swift and efficient delivery throughout the UK.”

Merseyside’s Kirkby Tyres & Wheel has introduced Cam Systems’ Wholesale Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. The software provider says Wholesale CRM will help the independent tyre and wheel wholesaler and distributor improve its customer communications and interactivity.

Infinity launches UK Dealer Reward Programme

Infinity Tyres has announced the launch of a new retail programme to reward top sellers of the brand on the UK market. The scheme has been introduced in conjunction with the brand’s authorised UK distributor Bond International. The company explains that the new reward programme is based on a simple structure: the more tyres purchased, the more points gathered. Infinity says its reward packages are “simply outstanding”.

TGI takes on Central America, Caribbean Mastercraft distribution

Cooper Tire & Rubber has entered into a two-year exclusive agreement with US wholesaler Tire Group International (TGI) to distribute Mastercraft brand tyres throughout Central America and the Caribbean. As part of the agreement, which runs until December 2014, TGI will also provide marketing and sales support for Mastercraft in the form of product promotions and dealer training.

TGI to distribute Alliance’s Galaxy tyres in Latin America, Caribbean

Tire Group International and Alliance Tire Group have announced a distribution agreement that gives TGI exclusive distribution rights for Galaxy-brand tyres in Latin America and the Caribbean, with exception of Colombia and Ecuador. The distributor will offer Galaxy’s industrial, agricultural and off-the-road tyre lines as both direct factory shipments and fill-in from its distribution centre in Miami, Florida.

TGI gains regional rights to Geotrac, Geostar and Milestar brands

US wholesaler Tire Group International has entered into an agreement with private brand marketing and distribution company Tireco that gives TGI the exclusive right to distribute Geotrac, Geostar and Milestar branded tyres throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. TGI will offer the aforementioned brands on a direct factory basis and also offer a fill-in program from its warehouse in Miami, Florida.

Vipal visits Donington with sponsored truck racing team

On Sunday 1 July, retread and repair materials producer Vipal visited Donington Park with the truck racing team it has sponsored for the past two years, Buggyra of the Czech Republic. Buggyra driver David Vrsecky collected 37 points over the weekend, with a second placed finish in the final race.

Formula Two visits “spiritual home” on Yokohama rubber

Halfway through its first season supplying rubber to the series, Yokohama was at Brands Hatch last weekend (14-15 July) for the FIA Formula Two championship. The Official Tyre Partner called Kent’s Brands Hatch circuit the series' spiritual home, and was supplying drivers with its ADVAN A005 dry slick and ADVAN A006 wet tyres – a necessity with the inclement conditions in the south of the UK. The meeting saw another new face on the top step of the podium while a prospective motorsport student got a behind-the-scenes look at the series with the Yokohama technicians.
