This particular tyre, which is available in up to 20 different sizes, kicks off by being completely free of aromatic oils and thus is fully compliant with REACH legislation. Furthermore, Infinity says the INF 050 benefits from its Eco-Friendly Fuel Efficient (EFFE) manufacturing process.

Now, After 50 years in the business, Fritz Schaad has announced his retirement from daily management from the Swiss company, where he had been responsible for sales and marketing for many years. Despite his retirement Fritz will, along with brother Rudolph, continue to support the company, which has been part of the Starco Group for the last five years. Rudolph has announced plans to retire in 2014, and leadership of Starco Schaad is now in the hands of Sven Holmes, who has been who has been working at the Schaad factory for nine months in preparation for assuming responsibility of the company established by the Schaad brothers.

When Federal Tyre returns to the Reifen show in Germany this June, the Taiwanese manufacturer will showcase its Himalaya ICEO winter tyre, which is aimed at consumers in Northern Europe, Russia/CIS and Japan. Kings Road Tyres’ group credit control manager, Barry Hill, recently celebrated the achievement of completing 40 years unbroken service with the company. Hill joined KRT at the Southampton location in 1972 and spent 34 years at the centre before a career change saw him appointed as group credit control manager based in Hayes in 2006.
Birmingham-based ATS Euromaster has been presented with the Innovation Award for the second year in succession at the Van Fleet World Honours 2012. To mark the business’s 100 per cent Conti-owned status, it has been renamed Continental Tyre Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. Upon reporting the transaction, Conti comments that the share acquisition underlines the “long term interest and the commitment of Continental to Asean and to the Asia Pacific Region.”

Knievel Motorcycle Manufacturing Inc., the custom motorcycle brand representing the Robert “Evel” Knievel legacy, has selected Avon Motorcycle Tyres North America as its exclusive tyre supplier. “Our engineering and design teams have vast experience in hand-building quality custom-production motorcycles and are well respected in the motorcycle business,” stated Rob Myers, general manager, Knievel Motorcycle Manufacturing.
Pirelli has signed an agreement to acquire 60 per cent of the company equity in Campneus, one of Brazil’s major tyre distribution networks for approximately 54 million real (£17.1 million), subject to adjustment on the basis of the asset situation on the closing date. The share has been obtained from the Faria da Silva family, who established Campneus in 1975 with assistance from Pirelli’s Brazilian subsidiary. The agreement is subject to approval by CADE, the Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Econômica brasiliano, and finalisation is expected at the end of the first half of 2012.
