Service Delphi’s braking vans will both be out through September and October, aiming to visit 600 garages. The campaign will support of The Parts Alliance’s ‘Best of Brakes’ promotion, which is offering six spectacular holiday prizes.
The vans remind customers how they can win 25,000 prizes just by buying Delphi brake pads, with a video hosted by three-time BTCC Champion Matt Neal.
The Parts Alliance has teamed up with Delphi for the second time in 2017 to run its new ‘Best of Brakes’ promotion. The distributor states that it hopes to build on the success of spring’s ‘Dream Drive’ promotion, which saw surging sales and six lucky garage winners taking memorable Route 66 road trips. This time around, there are six spectacular holidays to be won during September and October, to destinations throughout the world.
Delphi’s new range of brake products are currently featured on the company’s stand at Automechanika Birmingham 2017. Products include R90 certified discs, an extended range of coated discs, copper-free pads and a new programme of caliper slider kits.
Delphi Product & Service Solutions has launched 175 new steering part numbers to meet growing demand. The latest additions are on top of 400 steering part numbers launched during 2016. Together, Delphi’s total steering range covers over 24,500 applications and more than 90 per cent of the European vehicle parc. Further range development is planned throughout 2017, with the introduction of more than 450 part numbers.
While Delphi states that its brake discs have been fully compliant with R90 quality standards for many years, its discs for new vehicles launched after 1 November 2016 will now be R90 homologated and certified. The recently introduced R90 legislation only applies to discs or drums for vehicles launched after 1 November 2016. Delphi is also securing R90 certification for discs fitted to older vehicle applications.
The Parts Alliance has called its Dream Drive promotion, run in conjunction with Delphi during March and April, “an unprecedented success.” Head of marketing, Simon Moore said: “There’s no doubt the Route 66 road trips have really captured customer imagination. As a result, we’ve not only seen existing customers buying more Delphi pads but also many more switching into a great value braking programme that marries excellent quality with a competitive price point.”

Delphi Product & Service Solutions has launched its new copper-free brake pad range. The parts manufacturer says its new formulas offer improved brake fade performance for increased safety, feel, and refinement as well as the environmental benefits. The range offers 95 per cent car parc coverage of European and Asian applications. The launch comes nine years ahead of 2025 legislation to reduce copper materials in braking components to just 0.5 per cent.
