Delphi Academy unveils expanded ‘OEM-level’ training centre
Delphi Academy has officially opened its doors following a major expansion project, setting a new standard in aftermarket training. With a £500,000 investment, the Academy now spans 1,430 square meters, making it one of Europe’s largest automotive training centres. Delphi’s training facility in Warwick has doubled in size by extending into a neighbouring unit, with the new wing dedicated specifically to training in hybrid, electric vehicle (EV), and hydrogen technologies.
Delphi Academy to host Top Garage and Top Technician finals
Delphi is once again set to host the final of the 2024 Top Garage and Top Technician competitions. This year, more than 400 workshops and 1,000 technicians from across the UK applied, showcasing the depth of talent and passion within the industry. The UK’s best garages and brightest technicians will gather at Delphi’s recently expanded training Academy in Warwick on October 26th, where they will compete in the final rounds of the national competition.

Delphi BluTech diagnostic tool adds Volvo to security gateway solution
Delphi has continued to develop its tool for technicians to access vehicle data with the integration of Volvo into its security gateway solution. The integration has been pushed out with the BluTech diagnostic tool’s latest software update, meaning it can now automatically obtain Volvo authorisation tokens. This allows technicians unrestricted access to diagnostic functions.
Delphi Academy pioneers hydrogen training course
After months of hard work and research Delphi Academy has announced the launch of a pioneering new hydrogen training course. Delphi says that the new programme marks a significant industry milestone and will shape the future of hydrogen training across the industry. Available as progression training for Delphi’s well-established IMI Accredited Hydrogen Awareness course, the advanced training offering has been developed using Delphi’s extensive fuel system experience, unique knowledge of hydrogen internal combustion and deep understanding of the UK aftermarket.
Delphi Academy announces major expansion plan
To meet the evolving requirements of workshops in the UK, Delphi is investing half a million pounds in a “significant expansion” of the Delphi Academy. The Warwick-based centre will double in size, bringing total floorspace to 1,430 square metres.

Delphi to support veterans with EV qualification giveaway
DelphiDelphi is set to give away six IMI electric and hybrid vehicle technician qualifications to deserving ex-military and serving personnel. It comes as figures show homelessness among military veterans in England has risen by 14 per cent in the last year. Recognising the dedication and sacrifices made by those who’ve served, the new initiative from Delphi Academy aims to equip the most-deserving veterans with in-demand skills. “As a proud veteran who served 10 years in the Royal Air Force, I’ve experienced first-hand the challenges of transitioning from military to civilian life,” said Luke Garratt, UK technical services manager at Delphi. “Through this campaign, we’re offering a lifeline to a promising future in the automotive industry. With the world’s focus shifting towards electric, these skills will open the doors to an exciting new career.”
Protyre expanding Delphi training portfolio
Protyre Autocare has partnered with Delphi since 2018, leveraging the Delphi Academy e-learning platform that offers over 300 interactive modules to enhance the learning experience through technical articles, videos, and simulations. It credits the partnership with driving a significant diversification in the Protyre service portfolio – since collaborating with Delphi, general servicing and repair work have risen from 15% to 40% of Protyre’s operations. The tyre retailer now intends to support its growth plans by offering “well over” 1,000 bespoke Delphi training sessions this year.
