Davanti Tyres launched its recent entrance into the Italian market directly via its new subsidiary, Davanti Tyres SRL, at Autopromotec 2022. The wholly owned subsidiary of Davanti Tyres UK has been established with a dedicated team and logistical operation in Italy. The company wants its new subsidiary to build a network of tyre retailers across Italy.
Davanti Tyres has a new exclusive distributor across all territories within the United Arab Emirates. This remit has been taken on by Central Trading Company LLC, a member company of the Al-Rostamani Group, one of the largest and oldest conglomerates in the UAE.
Davanti Tyres will once again be returning to Billing Off Road Show this year. Accompanying the team will be luxury vehicle design specialists Sterling Automotive Design, as well as off-road rally expert Edd Cobley.
The Terratoura A/T from Davanti Tyres is designed to excel off-road and on-road in all weather conditions, while keeping the driver safe and in control, characteristics the brand suggests make the tyre: “unstoppable…across all terrains”. But what do its users say?
Terratoura A/T ambassador Edd Cobley has won the British Cross Country Championship’s Modified Production class. The off-road rally legend added the title to his collection with a brave performance at Walters Arena in Neath, South Wales. Cobley ran his self-built custom Land Rover Defender 110 – nicknamed Skippy 2.0 – on the Terratoura A/T throughout the championship, competing against competitors on Kevlar-reinforced specialist rally tyres.
Davanti Tyres has become back-of-shirt sponsor of JD Cymru Premier side Bala Town. Bala have enjoyed two decades of success to reach the pinnacle of Welsh football. It hopes the new partnership can help the club build on this summer’s foray into the UEFA European Conference League. Davanti said North Wales independent tyre retailers have “strongly supported the brand” since its 2015 launch, adding that the region has been “a cornerstone” as it expanded its network across the UK and into more than 70 countries. The sponsorship shows how Davanti is investing in raising its brand profile with Bala Town to actively support local retailers through its Make It Happen partnership programme. The brand, headquartered in the North-West of England is also the official tyre partner of Everton FC.
Davanti Tyres and automotive design house Sterling Automotive Design will mark their Commercial Vehicle Show debut on its return this year (Stand 5D95, Birmingham NEC, 31 August – 2 September) with the unveiling of Davanti’s new all-season van tyre. The Vantoura 4-Seasons will join Davanti’s Protoura Sport, which has sizes suitable for van conversions, the DX440 van tyre, and Terratoura A/T tyre for commercial pickups. It is the first time Davanti will exhibit its entire commercial vehicle tyre range together.
Davanti Tyres-backed Dan Zelos has stretched his lead in the Mini Challenge 2021 season with a double victory. At Scotland’s Knockhill Circuit, Zelos was fired up and looking to avenge last week’s outing at Oulton Park – where he was denied a deserved triumph following a red flag stoppage.
Dan Zelos was the fastest driver in the field in the Mini Challenge at Oulton Park as he strengthened his push for the drivers championship title. Despite his second race ending early due to a red flag, the talented Davanti Tyres-backed racer from Dereham maintained the momentum gained in his Brands Hatch win last month as he aims for the overall crown this season.
The handling, comfort and longevity when fully laden offered by Davanti’s DX440 van tyre helped the brand to become the original equipment specified tyre for London Electric Vehicle Company’s VN5 electric commercial van. The company said it developed the range with the driver at the centre. “It’s important to remember that, if a van is getting new tyres, that could be a sole trader losing money or a fleet unable to respond to as many calls in a day,” said Sean Maddocks, Davanti Tyres’ sales director for the UK and Ireland. “The DX440 is designed to last longer – reducing the number of times van drivers need to replace their tyres. The tread design and compound achieves that without losing sharpness or control – even under full load.”
Davanti Tyres launched its new flagship tyre, the ultra-high performance Protoura Sport, in early 2021. The brand says the development of the premium pattern complements its existing DX640 UHP product, giving drivers more choice within the range. “With Protoura Sport we have taken the latest in tyre engineering innovation and created a new benchmark in our UHP offering,” said Davanti’s development director, Gary Cross.
As fleet managers explore the transition from internal combustion to electric vans, Davanti is pitching its DX440 offers as an all-purpose tyre solution.
According to the company, Davanti’s DX440 light commercial van tyre is not only a popular choice for delivery drivers and tradesmen driving traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vans, it is also the 100 per cent OE tyre for the electric VN5 van from LEVC (the London Electric Vehicle Company).
Everton in the Community and Davanti Tyres are distributing school uniforms to pupils from Liverpool’s most socially deprived areas. The football club’s official global tyre partner has donated £10,000 to support the distribution of more than 480 complete school uniforms. The uniforms will be given to children from the most disadvantaged wards across Merseyside, whose families have been hit hard financially by the long-term effects of the pandemic.
Off-road rally legend Edd Cobley will compete in the British Cross Country Championships in June on Davanti Terratoura A/T tyres. Cobley will pilot his new custom-built Land Rover 110 doublecab, Skippy 2.0 in the four-round national series. The three-time Land Rover Defender Rally Champion and Hill Rally Championship winner is one of the faces of Davanti’s Make It Happen campaign. The tyre brand will follow his exploits on its social media channels and website.
Marking the launch of its new flagship UHP tyre, Davanti unveiled Olympic legend Sir Chris Hoy as its Protoura Sport ambassador. No stranger to speed, Hoy retired from cycling as one of the most decorated Olympians in history, embarking on a new career in motorsport. He has since won races in the European LeMans Series and the GT4 24hr Series. He now competes in a range of codes from rallycross to endurance to the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. “We are proud to welcome Sir Chris to the Davanti family,” said Davanti Tyres general manager Peter Cross. “As someone with a reputation built on elite-level performance, both on two wheels and four, he perfectly embodies Protoura Sport.”
