The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has appointed Craig McCracken, group factor manager at Arnold Clark Autoparts, as new president. He succeeds immediate past president Richard Welland and will remain on the IAAF board, alongside Richard, honorary treasurer Lawrence Bleasdale and chief executive Mark Field. McCracken has more than 40 years’ experience in the automotive industry and has worked for Arnold Clark for 37 years.
The Vampire jet car, holder of the UK land speed record, is returning to exhibition events nationwide with sponsorship from Arnold Clark Autoparts. National motor factor Arnold Clark Autoparts’ branding appears on the jet car, which currently holds a record for averaging 303 miles per hour in its record attempt.
Autoparts UK, Midwest Motor Factors and Monmore Autoparts will temporarily close until at least Monday 13 April. As part of Arnold Clark, the company is making resources available to the NHS and frontline workers, including the provision of 400 vehicles free of charge.
