Exol Pride sets sail, transporting raw materials by canal

Exol Lubricants has recently added a new barge, “Exol Pride,” to the North East Waterways, which will transport raw materials from Hull to its bulk blending plant in Rotherham. Exol has been a long term user of the waterways, leading the oil and lubricants market by using an environmentally friendly option while transporting large loads. The company has been commended for its reduction in carbon footprint and has even featured in ITV’s Barging about Britain, hosted by John Sergeant.

Exol Lubricants has introduced an additional fully synthetic, fuel-efficient engine oil, Optima Vimax 0W-20, to its product range, as well as launching Optima LSF 0W-30, a fully synthetic, low SAPS engine oil.

Liverpool firm to supply diesel engine cleaner to RAC fleet

Liverpool-based engine care specialist Cataclean has finalised a major agreement with the RAC’s fleet of UK patrol vehicles following a limited trial, conducted via Cataclean’s distribution partner Euro Car Parts on 40 vehicles. As a result, the RAC’s 1,400 vehicles will carry one of the company’s flagship products, Cataclean Diesel, which is primarily pitched as a solution to clogged diesel particulate filters, but can be used for petrol and hybrid engines too. Cataclean’s director of sales William Jones said the product was selected following a rise in the number of RAC call-outs to vehicles with clogged diesel particulate filters (DPFs).

Just in time for winter, Valeo has added ll new references to its range of wiper motors; there are now 120 wiper motors in the Valeo range, all of which come from Valeo’s Original Equipment (OE) production lines. Valeo has a very significant position as a supplier of wiper motors to OE car manufacturers in Europe and, as a result, a privileged role to play as a provider of aftermarket parts, if any need replacing during the life of the car. Borg & Beck publishes wiper blade safety poster

Tyres are not the only rubber component of a car that will deteriorate when exposed to weather, temperature changes and time, as a new poster published by First Line Group (FLG) brand Borg & Beck. Wiper blades’ deterioration affects driver visibility, therefore increasing risks to passengers and other road users. The company recommends that motorists replace their wiper blades annually, and has produced a poster for display in reception areas to argue this case.
