Sailun Tyre has introduced a new six-year product guarantee on all of its Sailun and RoadX truck tyres. The guarantee is valid as of 1 November 2019. Janis Amolins, sales director, Sailun Group Europe, said the guarantee “underlines the confidence and belief we have in the quality, performance and durability of our tyres.”
Goodyear has introduced two new on-road Kelly truck tyres in Europe, the Armorsteel KSM2 and KDM2. Distributed exclusively by International Tyres Ltd, the range targets price conscious fleets, providing improved rolling resistance, compatibility with European winter tyre legislation certified by the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake marking, and – with the High Load steer fitments – suitability for Euro 6 trucks.
Michelin has expanded its popular X Multi range of regional truck tyres, with the introduction of two new multi-position sizes, intended primarily for fitment on the front steer axle.
Giti Tire has continued to roll out its Combi Road compound technology with next generation Giti GDR655+ and GDR665+ drive patterns. Both tyres improve mileage by 30 per cent, and improved fuel efficiency by approximately 10 per cent versus the original tyres, Giti states.
Goodyear Tyres has secured a new five-year partnership with Reynolds Logistics. The family-owned bulk logistics company specialises in the haulage of liquid products, distributing fuels and hazardous goods throughout the UK and Europe. Goodyear will supply the firm with its comprehensive Goodyear Total Mobility offering, including Kmax Gen-2 and Kmax T tyres for trucks, trailers and tankers in the Reynolds Logistics fleet.
The Apollo Tyres TOR Truck Racing team will bring its racing truck ‘Thelma’ to Le Mans on 28-29 September for its final 2019 appearance on track. The team has been making a few alterations to the racing truck following a successful weekend at the ‘Convoy in the Park’ event at Donington in August, in preparation for the penultimate rounds of the European Truck Racing Championship.

Apollo Tyres has extended its Apollo Truck Tyre Zone (ATTZ) fleet service concept to Thailand. The first ATTZ outlet, a collaboration between Apollo and local partner Ten Ten Auto Tyres has opened in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province and is equipped to provide a range of services such as wheel alignment for trucks and cars, tyre changing and wheel balancing.

Giti Tire has launched its next generation, three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) certified, all-position urban-bus tyre, the Giti GAU867v1. Replacing the popular Giti GAU861 and Giti GT867 patterns, initial key sizes include 275/70R22.5, 295/80R22.5 and 11R22.5, all of which possess market standard load and speed indices. The manufacturer states that the tyre is designed for hard urban use, and utilises the manufacturer’s latest casing construction, enhancing mileage and handling and retreadability, a key market stipulator due to a short original lifespan.
