ATS Euromaster keeps tyre costs down for Heron Foods

East Yorkshire-based grocery retailer Heron Foods states that its tyre running costs and related downtime have dropped after appointing ATS Euromaster to supply and manage its tyres on a fixed-price contract. The company selected ATS Euromaster to manage its Michelin fitment policy across a busy fleet of 45 trucks, which is comprised of predominantly 40-tonne tractor units and trailers and 26-tonne rigids. Mobile technicians keep a close eye on Heron Foods’ tyres, with near daily inspections and reporting at the retailer’s depot in Melton, all aimed at ensuring the longest tyre life and greatest performance.

ContiPressureCheck adds economy and safety for Evans Transport

Evans Transport is to introduce Continental Tyres’ ContiPressureCheck system into its fleet. The 150-truck, 220-trailer fleet said that early trials have shown safety and economy gains from installing the system.

New tyre changer makes light work of heavy tyres

Pro-Align has expanded its range of Hunter garage equipment for commercial vehicle tyres, launching a heavy-duty tyre changer. The new changer follows the Hunter commercial vehicle aligner, which Pro-Align added to its range in 2015, announcing its entrance into the commercial sector. The supplier will present its products at The CV Show for the second consecutive year. The tyre changer has been designed to make the tyre changing process more efficient, and safer and easier for technicians carrying out the work.

Five new tyres added to Michelin X Works construction range

Michelin has extended its range of robust X Works tyres for the construction sector, adding five new tyres to the line-up of rugged fitments. Available with immediate effect, the X Works range now boasts 315/80 R 22.5 X Works Z (multi-position) tyres, X Works D (drive axle) tyres, plus 385/65 R 22.5 X Works T (trailer axle) tyres. Michelin has renewed its tyre offer for a complete rig – steer, drive and trailer – in the market’s key sizes.

Greenergy Flexigrid switches fleet to Goodyear Fuelmax

Greenergy Flexigrid, the fuel haulage service company within the Greenergy Group, has signed a new deal with Goodyear that will see the company fit its 100-plus vehicles with the tyre supplier’s Fuelmax commercial tyre. The tyre has been tested extensively by several European fleets since its 2014 launch. UniSerV User Group announces third meeting to coincide with NTDA dinner

The third UniSerV User Group meeting, hosted by CAM, will take place at 13:30 on 1 October at St John’s Hotel in Solihull to coincide with the NTDA’s annual dinner. All three UUG meetings have now been scheduled alongside existing, important industry events, the first having taken place alongside the NTDA’s 2014 dinner and Brityrex in Manchester, and the second beside April 2015’s CV Show in Birmingham.
