However, with clutch replacement now often taking several hours it’s imperative for workshop profitability that technicians have the information they need to fit the replacement right, first time.
UK high-specification brakes and clutch manufacturer Alcon has experienced a successful 2015 motorsport season to go alongside its significant supply deals with Peugeot and Supacat among others. In late November, Kyle Busch claiming victory in the Nascar Sprint Cup race at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, and with it becoming the 2015 champion. Busch brought his Alcon-equipped, Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) Toyota home 1.5 seconds ahead of his nearest rival, to crown yet another successful year for the Tamworth-based manufacturer.
Valeo Service UK has launched a new clutch catalogue featuring more than 100 new references.
The new references – made up of kits, components and remanufactured units – include 46 new part numbers for Euro 6 OE applications. More than 3000 vehicle applications are covered by the range extension, bringing the total number of LCVs, trucks and coaches covered by Valeo’s clutch range to more than 13,000 across 70 vehicle makes.
Following the introduction of the HKF1053 all-in-one kit for the Vauxhall/Opel Combo, Corsa 1.3-litre CDTi, the First Line Group’s latest addition has just been launched: the HKF1054 for the Fiat Ducato, Citroën Relay, Peugeot Boxer 3.0-litre TD.
The First Line Group (FLG) is to make Frankfurt’s Automechanika “the centrepiece of its export strategy” as it exhibits from its biggest ever stand (5.1 C58) this September. The company’s global Borg & Beck brand, acquired in 2006, will be the primary focus of the stand, displaying high quality clutch kits and components and the OES equivalent braking programme. FLG opened its first Borg & Beck distribution centre in Germany at the beginning of the year, and a move into larger premises is already in the works, increasing the importance of the German aftermarket show.
