BEN is calling for keen cyclists to complete its London to Paris 24 hour challenge to help raise funds for the automotive industry charity. The closing date to register for the charity event, which will see the cyclists cover 240 miles in just 24 hours, is the end of March.
Sailun has announced that it has become the exclusive automotive sponsor of global charity World Child Cancer. The charity is dedicated solely to addressing the global inequality in diagnosing and treating children with cancer. Of the more than 200,000 children who develop cancer worldwide each year, 80 per cent are from low or middle income countries where fewer than five per cent will survive. The survival rate in high income countries is 80 per cent.

Marg Mcfarlane, from the security department at Pirelli, helped to coordinate the activity at the company. She said: “It was great to see colleagues get into the Christmas spirit and wear quirky hats to work – there were some sights! Everyone donated £2, which will help contribute to changing a life for a blind child.”

During Brityrex International 2014, the NTDA held a silent auction of a signed Ryan Giggs no.11 Manchester United shirt, which commemorates his 588 appearances, 108 goals and 24 years of service with Manchester United. Pirelli UK will provide its rally simulator to the Richard Burns Foundation at the Rallyday event in Castle Combe on 20 September. All proceeds from the simulator experience will go to the Richard Burns Foundation: a charity set up in the name of the 2001 World Rally Champion, who won his title on Pirelli tyres.
