ZC Rubber’s Chaoyang Tire brand has been selected as the Original Equipment (OE) tyre supplier for Toyota’s bZ3X in the Chinese market. According to the tyremaker, this is “the first time the world’s largest automaker has partnered with a tyre brand from mainland China”.
The World Brand Lab has announced the 2024 “Top Ten Influential Chinese Tyre Brands”, which are ranked as Doublestar, Sailun, Linglong, Chaoyang (belonging to ZC Rubber), Double Coin, Celmo (belonging to Jiangsu General), Advance Tyre (belonging to Guizhou Tyre), Triangle, Cheng Shin, and Prinx Chengshan.
Several Chinese research institutions recently jointly released the “2024 China Brand Influence Index Report”. In the report’s “Top 10 Tyre Brand Influence” list, Doublestar ranked first.
Some 1.6 million passenger cars were sold in China in July 2024, and for the first time the number of new energy vehicles sold surpassed sales of combustion vehicles. The top ten selling cars accounted for around 230,000 units, and local association the Car and Wheel Shop Owners Alliance provides information about the tyres these popular models wear as original equipment. Linglong is a reoccurring name, with six of the ten best-selling models available with Linglong OE tyres.
Arsenal F.C. has entered into a global partnership with tyre company ZC Rubber, manufacturer of the Westlake, Goodride, Chaoyang, Arisun, Trazano and Yartu tyre brands. As part of the agreement, ZC Rubber will have a marketing presence at all Premier League, Emirates FA Cup, and Carabao Cup games played at the club’s home, Emirates Stadium, starting on 2 December 2023 and continuing for the next three years.
Recently, the World Brand Summit 2023 was held in Beijing. Tyrepress China learned that nine tyre manufacturing companies had been listed in “China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands”.
Several years ago, a large Chinese tyre maker expressed to us its confidence that it would supply original equipment tyres for Europe within a decade – the assumption being that its tyres would arrive on Chinese vehicle brands imported into the region. Keeping an eye on OEM deals in China thus provide insights into which tyres we may see as original equipment in the coming years.
ZC Rubber has launched a line of passenger car tyres developed for electric vehicles. Initially available only in the tyre maker’s home market of China, EV Pro products feature “notably reduced rolling noise” and “increased fuel efficiency” as well as “improved grip performance” for EVs. The tyre maker says it will soon introduce more EV tyre options for global markets.
China’s ZC Rubber, manufacturer of the Westlake, Goodride, Chaoyang, Arisun and Trazano tyre brands, has shared news of its recent activities in the original equipment tyre supply business, a sector where it has been present for more than a decade. In recent months the company added Volkswagen and Ford/Lincoln to its OEM portfolio, joining firms such as Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo, Changan Auto, Great Wall Motor and Geely.
Chinese car maker BYD debuted its new EA1 electric hatchback at the 2021 Shanghai Motor Show, and ZC Rubber is proud to share that the car was unveiled with Chaoyang tyres as original equipment. The EA1 wears Chaoyang RP76 tyres in size 195/60 R16.
ZC Rubber hosted its first Global Online Dealer Conference on 19 March. The theme of this event was ‘Innovate into The Great Future’, and conference speakers outlined the company’s strategic vision and plans for continued growth in 2021 and also introduced its latest products, technologies, and services.
In the final week of 2020, ZC Rubber launched its new ‘Flagship Series’ line, which as the name suggests will serve as a premium product within its four tyre brands, Chaoyang (Arisun), Westlake, Goodride and Trazano. Flagship Series arrives first in the Chinese domestic market ahead of its global rollout in the coming year.
With its newly-developed global customer service system, ZC Rubber says it offers tyre dealers an online platform that serves as a “one-stop solution for tyre information, marketing support and after-sales service.” The system covers all ZC Rubber brands, including Westlake, Goodride, Chaoyang, Trazano, Arisun and Yartu.
ZC Rubber reports it is supplying the Chaoyang CL403 as an original equipment tyre for the Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT) produced by Chinese truck manufacturer Wanshan Special Vehicle. The CL403 is being fitted to the vehicle in size 355/65-15.
