Petlas has introduced four new run-flat sizes for its PT741 ultra-high performance pattern, namely,. Specifically designed for ultimate performance, PT741 offers an excellent combination of performance and safety (245/40R 20 Reinforced, 285/35R 18, 285/35R 19 and 225/35R 20 Reinforced). According to the company, Petlas run-flat are capable of distances up to 200 km without “any integrity problems”.
ZC Rubber has announced that it will introduce a series of new commercial and consumer tyres in 2019. Covering European TBR and PCR tyre markets, the new products have been designed to meet local customer demands, the manufacturer states.
Maxxis’ Premitra HP5 car tyre has received a ‘highly recommended’ rating from German motoring magazine Auto Zeitung in its latest summer tyre test. Competing against top global tyre brands, Maxxis states that the “result demonstrates how motorists can obtain all the hallmarks of premium tyre performance without the inflated price tag.” The Premitra HP5 came fourth overall in Auto Zeitung’s test.
Yokohama is celebrating 20 years supplying original equipment tyres to Lotus Cars with another two supply deals. The latest Lotus Elise’s Sprint 220 and Sport 220 derivatives will be fitted with Yokohama’s Advan Sport V105 as original equipment, featuring a new wider front tyre size of 195/50R16, while retaining the 225/45R17 on the rear.
Goodyear will launch a new range of three ultra-ultra-high performance (UUHP) tyres in 2019. The manufacturer’s flagship SuperSport range will be available in three variants – Eagle F1 SuperSport, SuperSport R and SuperSport RS – all of which are designed for use on performance vehicles in 18-21” rim sizes.
Falken has expanded the size range of the Eurowinter HS01 winter tyre in both passenger car and SUV versions. From a previous range of 66 sizes, 99 sizes are now available in the Eurowinter HS01 tyre, spanning the most popular applications. The first tyre for cars and SUVs from Giti Tire’s eponymous brand is now available in the UK, in a strictly limited series of 10 GitiSportS1 sizes, split equally between the original UHP tyre, launched in 2016, and the SUV version, unveiled in June 2018.
