Cambrian Tyres importing Anlas Tyres for bikes, scooters

Starting in November 2016, Cambrian Tyres have begun distribution in the UK of Turkish two-wheel specialist tyre brand, Anlas. Already familiar to many in Europe with a history stretching back 40 years, Anlas manufactures a wide range of tyres from its factory in Duzce, between Istanbul and Ankara. The current Anlas range includes tyre applications for commuters and urban motorcycles; lightweight bikes; classic machines; large adventure motorcycles; and scooters and mopeds. Cambrian says the Anlas range offers riders excellent quality and value for money from a well-established European brand.

Cambrian Tyres ready for 2014 Continental releases

The ContiRoadAttack 2 Gran Turismo touring sport tyre has been approved as an original equipment fitment for the BMW R1200 RT, Continental reports. This latest version of the ContiRoadAttack 2 bears the initials ‘GT’ on the tyre’s sidewall and has been optimised for use on heavy weight touring and naked bikes, with a wear-resistant compound and a reinforced casing design that includes a second casing layer for enhanced stability and easier handling.

Conti reintroduces TKV11 & TKV12 moto patterns

The classic motorcycle market is growing and interest in bikes from the 1980s is strong, and therefore Continental considers now an opportune time to reintroduce two former patterns, the TKV11 front and TKV12 rear sports tyres. The pair are suited for mounting on classic 1970s and 1980s bikes and fit machines as diverse as Yamaha XJ600’s and FJ1100, Kawasaki’s GPZ600R and GPZ1000RX, Suzuki’s GSX1100E and 1100 Katana, BMW’s K75 and K100, Honda’s XBR500 and Ducati’s Pantah range.

Continental has just published its new 2011 motorcycle and scooter tyre technical manual. According to the UK distributor of these products, the manual contains a wealth of information about each of the tyres in the range and a very comprehensive fitment and pressure guide, the manual has the key information that dealers need.

Bridgestone’s Biker’s Club gets on the Road

Bridgestone Biker’s Club is celebrating a new arrival this week – a 2009 Tiger 1050. The newest member of the Club will enable the Biker’s Club team riders to get out and about across the UK, visiting dealers, members and attending biker meets and ride-outs.

Andy Whitehead and Gary Hartshorne are looking forward to introducing both the Club, and its latest addition, to the UK biking fraternity. Continental Releases Conti Motion

Cambrian Tyres, the UK importer for Continental motorcycle and bicycle tyres, describes the Continental range as the fastest growing motorcycle tyre brand in the top seven. New for 2008 in the Continental range is the Conti Motion (pictured). Available from March 2008, the Motion is dubbed as the “world’s first entry level sports touring radial tyre.”

The tyre is built for year-round use and is said to provide “great value for money” as it offers a high service life yet costs less than other tyres in its sector. The longer mileage is reportedly achieved by using new formulated polymers in the compound along with a modern, force orientated tread pattern.

BMW goes on the “Attack”

BMW has chosen the Continental Road Attack as original equipment for its R1200RT motorcycle.

The sports-touring tyre is the first OE contract for the new radial. The tyre was developed “hand in hand” with BMW to achieve the contract and was specifically tailored to the R1200RT performance requirements, says UK distributor Cambrian Tyres.

BMW has also extended homologation to fit the tyre to the R1100S, R1150R and K1200RS models. Continental is also original equipment supplier to BMW’s GS range in the form of the “world conquering” TKC80 enduro tyre, that fitted to the bikes of Charley Boorman and Ewan Mcgregor in their “Long Way Round” project.
