Halfords Autocentres to use Cam Systems e-commerce platform

Cam Systems has announced that Halfords Autocentres has signed an e-procurement agreement with the software provider, as it continues to develop its growth strategy. Halfords announced a proposed expansion of its network to 400 sites in May. Cam says the MIDaS-based platform will provide transactional interaction with Halfords’ wholesale suppliers to streamline its tyre buying processes.The system will also allow consumers to view product prices online in coordination with Halfords’ own B2C web facilities.

Cam Systems launches webinar presentation series

Tyre industry software specialist Cam Systems has announced the launch of its new webinar presentation series aimed at providing customers with information and advice on areas such as electronic ordering, Workshop Scheduler, rebates management and purchase invoice/GIN matching. Managed through e-commerce extensions to its website, the webinars will present modules on new and existing software. Cam Systems says the series provides its customers “with the opportunity to tap into and gain maximum benefit from the software… of which they may be unaware.” Each webinar will include a question and answer session with one of Cam’s technical expert.

Tyrenet now 100% “paperless”

Following the introduction of the first UniSerV application modules from Cam Systems in April 2010, independent tyre network Tyrenet is reporting a 30 per cent saving in administration time to process invoices and has gone completely paperless since the beginning of March 2011.

Cam Systems signs exclusive efficiency software agreement

Independent tyre industry software provider Cam Systems has signed an exclusive agreement with Azolve Limited to provide scanning and workflow solutions to tyre dealers. Azolve’s products are designed to increase efficiency and cost-savings by automating what have historically been manpower-intensive operational processes.

Cameo transforms JH Tyres business management system

JH Tyres of Armagh, Northern Ireland has invested in Cam Systems’ Cameo platform, citing its ability to control its stock and generate credit reports as worthy of the long-term investment. McConechys Tyre and Exhaust Centres has appointed Cam Systems to implement its Cameo software platform. McConechys Tyre Service Limited is now in its 54th year is one of the leading tyre distributors in the UK. It caters for all sectors in the replacement tyre market through its branch network covering Scotland and Yorkshire. McConechys will also implement Cam’s UniSerV for its commercial business operations, and Workshop Scheduler products across its 53 outlets once the transition to Cameo is complete.

The platform handles the call logging, customer policy and contract management, interactive mapping and breakdown form processing requirements that Tyrenet have, enabling it to streamline its operations significantly and introduce Straight Through Processing for the first time. Tyrenet is also UniSerV’s integration into Cam’s Cameo platform for systemised updating of transactions into the organisation, making commercial functions speedier, more robust, more visible and, ultimately, easier to manage.

Cam Connects Tructyre to 3rd Parties with UniSerV 3PI Module

Commercial tyre specialists at Tructyre have become the first to adopt Cam Systems’ new, third party integration (3PI) module within its UniSerV application suite. The platform is designed to streamline the feed of transactional data to and from third party systems, reducing Tructyre administration costs and ensuring customers receive consistent service data. Testing on the new system is planned to occur throughout October. Cam Systems’ UniSerV application suite already handles the call logging and contract management, ePen and Breakdown form processing for Tructyre’s commercial breakdown business.

Cam Systems’ MIDaS B2B Platform on Track for £200m Milestone

Cam Systems’ MIDaS B2B, the online ordering platform for tyre wholesalers, is on track to hit £200 million in annual sales by December 2010 across its client base. According to the IT-provider, the rise in online transactions is a result of its use by tyre wholesalers as a key sales process enabler in conjunction with their retailer partners. The MIDaS managed service enables the acceleration of the ordering process between the retailer and wholesaler considerably. Cam also says it is easy to implement, informative and accurate.

Kirkby Tyres Expands Virtual Warehouse to Irish Market

Kirkby Tyres has appointed Cam Systems to implement a fully integrated online virtual warehouse using MIDaS enabling its customers in Ireland to view available stock, check prices and place orders online. The appointment follows the successful integration of Cam systems’ MIDaS platform into Kirkby’s UK warehouse in Speke, Merseyside, which has resulted in a significant increase in sales. MIDaS, Cam's online ordering framework for tyre wholesalers, now manages transactions valued at over £170 million per annum, across its client base – a figure which is reportedly growing exponentially.

Ipswich Tyre Group Expands

Ipswich Tyre Group is expanding with the opening of Premier Body Works in Bury St Edmunds, bringing the total number of depots within its group to six. The new site will continue to focus on its vehicle repair business, and Ipswich Tyre Group will introduce Cameo from Cam Systems after working effectively with the industry-specific software platform in its other centres.
