Strathclyde Tyres joins Horndean Tyres as investor in CAM UniSerV platform

Truck and car tyre retailer Strathclyde Tyres has joined Hampshire’s Horndean Tyres in introducing CAM’s UniSerV platform. The Scottish retailer is expanding its operations, and the further investment in technology platforms will enable it to offer local authority contracts paperless and streamlined job sheet processing and invoicing. Horndean will seek to improve connectivity with its truck and earthmover customers, increasing efficiency through the tablet-based electronic jobsheet, which will be used by its 12 fitters in the field.

Inaugural CAM UniSerV user group meeting coincides with UK tyre industry gathering

CAM has hosted the inaugural UniSerV User Group (UUG) meeting, chaired by Anne Sherwood, business support manager of Tructyre Fleet Management. The event took place ahead of the NTDA dinner on Wednesday, 8 October 2014 at Manchester’s Hilton Deansgate. The software provider discussed the latest release of the software with some of its leading customers, using the meeting to identify and plan future developments to benefit the commercial tyre sector.

Tyrework upgrades with CAM’s UniSerV

Tyrework, the commercial vehicle tyre management and maintenance division of the KRT Group, is bolstering its technology with a major systems upgrade led by CAM’s UniSerV platform. According to the company, the investment will allow the tyre operator to centralise many operational functions into its head office, reducing administration out in the field.

City 1st crosses line with CAM’s UniSerV

Slough based City 1st is introducing Cameo and UniSerV from CAM across its four truck depots. The commercial tyre specialist wanted to go paperless and install an intuitive system to help its team of fitters to transition to a mobile system. The company states that it reviewed the options and gained feedback from other users before deciding to adopt CAM’s technologies.

The Dexel Tyre Group’s integration of CAM’s UniSerV application suite has gone live. The system is designed to help the commercial tyre supplier to increase job sheet processing efficiency. The system also provides a smoother transactional solution with tablet technology utilised for commercial jobs and breakdowns.

CAM integrated Cameo module helps tyre dealers process SEPA euro payments

On 1 February 2014 legislation came into effect within the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) to allow for euro transactions to be processed more easily across all European Union member states. Software systems supplier to the tyre industry, CAM (formerly Cam Systems) future proofed its Cameo system in preparation for the business payment transfer system, with an integrated module option helping to smooth the transition after the SEPA legislation’s introduction.

Cam creates new technical, client support positions

Cam Systems has created two new roles, expanding its customer support with a technical account management and a client liaison expertise. Lance Malin, an experienced technical account manager, will be responsible for delivering hardware and software projects to customers, and developing and maintaining strong business relationships. Frankie Sharp is tasked with increasing the information flow between Cam and non-Cam clients, the software provider says.
