Starting in the 2024/25 season, Falken will be an official club partner of German Bundesliga football club VfB Stuttgart. As part of the sponsorship deal, the Falken tyre brand will be represented on more than 240 metres of perimeter LED displays during VfB Stuttgart’s home matches. In addition, the Falken logo will be present on two static grandstand banners, and an extensive hospitality programme is also part of the sponsorship package.
Linglong Tire will continue its sponsorship deal with the Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg, starting with the club’s 2024/25 season-opening cup match at TuS Koblenz. VfL Wolfsburg are famously supported by Primary Partner Volkswagen, Europe’s largest automaker, out of whose sports club the team developed – one of the reasons the club is particularly attracting to the globalising Chinese tyre manufacturer, which is one of the club’s “Top-Partners”. In addition to the men’s team, Linglong will support the women’s team of VfL Wolfsburg, reigning German Cup winners.
German football club Bayer 04 Leverkusen is entering the next two seasons with a new premium and tyre partner. Tyre maker Ceat is joining the Bundesliga team and DFB Cup holders with immediate effect, succeeding previous tyre partner Kumho Tire following the planned conclusion of this cooperation at the end of last season. The newly agreed premium partnership with Ceat is set to run until 30 June 2026.
The recently announced continuation of its partnership with Manchester City F.C. isn’t the only football activity that Nexen Tire is maintaining during the current season. The tyre maker has announced an extension of its sponsorship of German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt e.V. The freshly-reaffirmed partnership will continue through to the 2024/25 season.
German Bundesliga club and Europa League contestant Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Kumho Tyre (as Kumho Tire markets itself in Europe) have extended the sponsorship contract they began in 2019. Kumho thus continues to be the club’s exclusive tyre partner as well as its sleeve partner in the German Football Association cup competition, the DFB-Pokal.
The five-year-old sponsorship arrangement between Linglong Tire and German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg has been given a further boost with a two-year extension of the 2019-initiated sleeve partnership. The continued presence of the Linglong logo on the left sleeve of players’ jerseys through to 2022 complements a partnership that also includes advertising on stadium LED boards, cam carpets, matchday hospitality and digital services.
Less than three months after extending its VfL Wolfsburg partnership, Linglong Tire has taken a further step with the German football club by becoming its sleeve partner. As of this season, the tyre maker’s logo will appear on players’ left shirt sleeves during Bundesliga and DFB Cup matches.
Italian wheel brand MAK is extending its football advertising presence beyond its home market. On the back of “good experiences” within Italy’s Serie A league, MAK is now advertising in the German Bundesliga.
Sumitomo Rubber Industries has entered into a sponsorship agreement that makes its Falken brand the official tyre of all four 2015-16 season promotion/relegation playoff matches held by Germany’s Bundesliga football league. These matches take place between 19 and 24 May. The Falken brand will also be the official partner of the 2016 DFL-Supercup championship match between the Bundesliga league champion and the winner of the German Cup (DFB-Pokal) in August.
A new Falken Tyre television commercial campaign is being aired during Bundesliga football matches broadcast in Northern and Eastern Europe. The ads promote the Falken brand’s ‘Be On the Pulse of High Technology and Performance’ theme and range from seven to 20 seconds in length. They are screened by Eurosport before kick-off and a half-time during the German premier league games.
Falken Tyre Europe has entered into sponsorship agreement with German football club FC Ingolstadt 04. The team has been promoted to the premier Bundesliga league for the 2015/2016 season after winning the country’s second-division league last year, and Falken says the new two-season partnership will serve as the “spearhead of a strategic sales sponsoring programme in the football sector” that will see it participate in further advertising and hospitality campaigns with European clubs.
