New CEO for Bridgestone Aircraft Tire USA
Andrea Schmitz Davis has been named chief executive officer of Bridgestone Aircraft Tire USA (BAU). She replaces Joe Rayna, who retires later this month after 39 years of service to the company.

Bridgestone Americas has announced a US$12 million investment that will expand production to include popular off-the-road (OTR) tyre sizes at its Bloomington, Illinois facility. The plant will produce multiple sizes and patterns in 29-, 33- and 35-inch OTR tyres, which until now have only been produced by Bridgestone in Japan.
Bridgestone has been named Tyre Manufacturer of the Year honour at the TyreSafe Awards 2018. The manufacturer prevailed in the competitive category thanks to a number of safety initiatives and pro-active partnerships, which were noted by a panel of independent judges.

Following its launch a month ago, Bridgestone’s Weather Control A005 is available nationwide now. Continuing its long-standing relationship with BMW, Bridgestone is supplying a range of tyres in 14 different sizes from its Alenza 001, Dueler H/P Sport AS and Blizzak lines.
A world first has been claimed by Bridgestone Corporation with the development of a polymer that bonds rubber and resins at the molecular level. Bridgestone believes this High Strength Rubber (HSR) polymer will lead to tyres that require fewer raw materials to deliver the performance expected from them.

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (Goodyear) and Bridgestone Americas, Inc. (Bridgestone)’s TireHub LLC joint venture in passenger and light truck tyre distribution, will begin serving customers the first week of July. The joint venture received clearance from all required regulatory authorities earlier in June, enabling the creation of one of the largest national tyre distributors in the United States. The transaction is expected to close at the end of June.
