Brake manufacturer Brembo has reported third quarter revenues of 1,559.9 million euros (-20.9 per cent compared to the previous year). Pre-tax profits (EBITDA) amounted to 267.1 million euros. Meanwhile EBITDA and EBIT margins of 17.1 per cent and 7.1 per cent respectively were described as “in line with the previous year.”
Excel Automotive Group (EAG) has been appointed as exclusive distributor of the Celect range of brake pads and discs within the UK. With an extensive range of brake pads and brake discs in their Leeds-based distribution centre, EAG says it is able to offer “a braking range that has been developed to provide the marketplace with an affordable, full specification offering”.
Newell & Wright Motorsport driver John Newell raced through the grid at the first British Truck Racing Association (BTRA) weekend at Donington, with Textar brakes proving the difference. The automotive replacement parts manufacturer, Trico Group, has announced its new name: First Brands Group, along with the addition of two new brands to its growing portfolio. Delphi Technologies has added to its aftermarket braking range in Europe. In 2019 the company launched more than 130 new brake pads and discs for popular new vehicles, including a growing parc of Asian applications and hybrid and electric cars. Fitted to an additional 19 million vehicles, the company now offers more than 97 per cent coverage on brake discs and 98.58 per cent on pads, in Europe.
TMD Friction, through its Textar brand, has extended its wide range of brake pads for the European commercial vehicle (CV) market, introducing Brake Pad Set 2921101, which fits a Kögel Trax Trailer application.
Brembo is to supply brake calipers and discs for the new Polestar 2. Specifically, Brembo is to produce the two-piece four-piston aluminium front calipers and Brembo’s exclusive dual-cast floating brake disc for the Polestar 2.
British aftermarket parts brand, Comline, has reaffirmed its commitment to copper-free braking with the announcement of an Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) ‘N’ rating. This rating confirms Comline brake pads as containing less than 0.5 per cent of copper by weight and permits the brand to use the AASA LeafMark ‘N’ icon in promoting its comprehensive range of all makes brake pads.
