MWSD to present wheel safety campaign, latest wheels at NEC’s Coach & Bus Live

Motor Wheel Service Distribution (MWSD) is taking its wheel safety campaign to Coach & Bus Live 2015. The distributor will also display the latest xlite forged aluminium and Chevron stamped steel wheels. Located on stand B15, the leading wheel supplier will place a major educational focus on the impending EU Roadworthiness Act, which became law in May 2014 and must be implemented by Member States by May 2017, and will positively affect the UK commercial vehicle industry.

CV Show visitor numbers up 5% as nearly 20,000 attend

The CV Show showed significant growth in 2015, with almost 20,000 visitors; an increase of five per cent year-on-year. According to independent ABC audit data 19,807 people visited April’s CV Show at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham. The growth of the show reflects growing confidence within the road transport, fleet and logistics industries.

Landsail title sponsor for next Performance Car Show

Haymarket Exhibitions, organiser of the Performance Car Show, has signed up Landsail tyres as title sponsor for next year’s event. When it returns to the NEC in Birmingham between 14 and 17 January, the sport and performance car fair will be officially known as the ‘Performance Car Show presented by Landsail Tyres in association with Autocar and PistonHeads.com.’ The show takes place alongside Europe’s largest motorsport exhibition, Autospsort International.

Hunter CV aligner offers ‘rapid fuel saving opportunity’ – Pro-Align

Hunter’s new wheel alignment system for commercial vehicles is now available in the UK, and its distributor believes the innovative product is set to help fleets reduce their running and maintenance costs significantly. The Hunter system, available exclusively through Pro-Align, is the first and only CV alignment system on the market today capable of providing live alignment readings on three axles simultaneously, according to the distributor.

Giti Tire reveals CV Show 2015 stand design

Giti Tire has unveiled its stand design for The CV Show 2015. The stand, situated at 4G40, will provide a platform for the launch of the new GT Radial GDR638 next generation drive axle tyre. An interesting feature of the stand (pictured) will be the presence of the manufacturer’s logo and corporate colours. In previous years Giti has made its flagship GT Radial brand the focus of its CV Show exhibit. Now the manufacturer plans to raise its corporate profile worldwide in support of global infrastructure projects, such as the new $560m manufacturing and distribution plant in Chester County, South Carolina.

Hunter truck alignment system makes UK debut at CV Show with Pro-Align

Pro-Align will host the UK debut of its new Hunter CV wheel alignment system April’s Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC, Birmingham. The Hunter garage equipment distributor recently announced its intentions to move into the commercial vehicle sector. It believes Hunter’s equipment will help truck, bus and heavy vehicle fleet operators check their wheel alignment more regularly and easily than ever before. The benefits of this are lower fuel bills and emissions, extended tyre life and improved vehicle safety.

Landsail launches new website

Landsail has launched a new UK website to showcase its growing range in the week they will present the Performance Car Show at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre (NEC). The new website has been developed to accommodate Landsail’s extensive range, which has expanded from 100 sizes in 2012 to 225 sizes today, and will be featured at the show. Landsail had a successful year in 2014, having acquired new dealers; accelerated investment in engineering and production; planned a new factory in Thailand; and manufactured its first aircraft tyre. The brand also made its Brityrex debut, with manufacturer Sentury Tyre.

Landsail Tyres has confirmed its sponsorship of the 2015 Performance Car Show, in association with Autocar and PistonHeads.com. The leading UK exhibition dedicated to enthusiasts of sports and performance cars, held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, on 8-11 January 2015. The brand, manufactured by Qingdao’s Sentury Tire and distributed in the UK by Grouptyre member Oak Tyres, will communicate with visitors about the depth and breadth of its range, with high performance, ultra high performance, and SUV fitments. The manufacturer, founded in 2009, has been moving to differentiate itself in a populous field of Chinese tyre brands selling into the UK. At the beginning of December it stated that it would offer tyres for magazine testing to prove the quality of its products, having presented some eye-catching European tyre labels at its Reifen debut.

Bridgestone demonstrates flexible approach at Euro Bus Expo 2014

Bridgestone secured “significant new fleet business” at the NEC’s Euro Bus Expo 2014, the company states. The tyre manufacturer said it had demonstrated its “flexible tyre service”, and “consistency of supply”, rather than talking solely about tyres. In showing such features as maintenance and support programmes, provision of retread products and simplicity of invoicing, Bridgestone’s fleet operations manager Matt Millington said that the Euro Bus Expo presence could mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the bus and coach team.

We’re going to need a bigger booth: ATS Euromaster to celebrate 50th at CV Show

ATS Euromaster will mark 50 years in the industry on its largest ever stand at the 2015 Commercial Vehicle Show. Hosted at the NEC, Birmingham, ATS-E has exhibited at consecutive CV Shows for more than 10 years, and will occupy over 25 per cent more space than in 2014. Group Sales Director Peter Fairlie says the extra investment from the business is a combination of celebrating achievement, and growing confidence in the market.

GT Radial to make Euro Bus Expo debut

Early next month Euro Bus Expo 2014 is coming to the NEC Birmingham, and GT Radial will attend the show as an exhibitor for the first time. A range of products aimed at the passenger transport segment will be on display at the GT Radial stand, with the GSR225 Combi Road and GAU861 all-position urban city-bus tyres heading a comprehensive portfolio.

Bridgestone to exhibit tyre management services, golf products at CV Show

Bridgestone has called the 2014 Commercial Vehicle Show “our most significant opportunity of the entire year”, announcing its intention to display its Total Tyre Care fleet services from its large stand. Its three tyre management pillars, Total Tyre Life, Total Tyre Services and Total Tyre Systems will be the most prominent visual features in the overall stand design, which will also boast a golf simulator, designed to display Bridgestone’s sports products at an industry show for the first time.

Aftermarket Show Returns to NEC

The Aftermarket Show is gearing up for next year’s event, following a successful 2008 exhibition this January. The self-styled “must-attend event for all automotive service industry professionals” takes place at the Birmingham NEC from Thursday 8 – Sunday 11 January 2009, and is currently open for trade visitor registration. The event is being supported by Car and Accessory Trade magazine, while the organisers promise a continuation of the Talkshop tool, which provides a free forum for exhibitor-visitor interaction.

This year’s event – held in January – was attended by nearly 4,100 dedicated aftermarket industry trade visitors, in addition to over 23,800 Autosport International trade visitors. More than 56,700 end users of automotive products walked the exhibition floor over the long weekend, representing an estimated spend of £3.2 Million on car and motorsport related products.
