The Bridgestone off-the-road crane tyre range has been extended through the introduction of the VHS2 (V-steel Highway Service 2). According to Bridgestone, the VHS2 is designed to provide longer-lasting performance and a better return on investment for today’s all-terrain cranes.
BKT says there is no way of overlooking its presence at Bauma. This comment relates to the company’s size 27.00 R 49 Earthmax SR 45 Plus mining tyre, which at an imposing 2.70 metres tall can be easily spotted within the Munich-based exhibition’s outdoor area, however it could equally apply to the number of new products that the off-road tyre specialist has brought to the show.
Following a very successful initial presence at Bauma 2013, Maxam Tire says it is returning to exhibit and demonstrate “a vastly improved product portfolio and a much-developed organisation.” The company will exhibit its OTR products both internally (Hall A6, stand 324) and outside (in the atrium between Entrance West and Hall B1).
Magna Tyres Group will launch a new tyre for crane applications at this year’s Bauma show. The Magna MA03+ radial is available in three popular sizes, 385/95R25, 445/95R25 and 525/80R25, and is said to be optimised fuel economy and operator comfort.
Mitas has announced it will unveil its new 445/95R25 CR-02 mobile crane tyre in a world premiere on stand 127 of hall A6 at Bauma.
According to the company, the Mitas CR-02 is a new tread design that extends the current range of CR-01 crane tyres. Mitas CR-02 has improved operating efficiency thanks to its lighter construction. It is also possible to mount CR-02 tyres on a one-piece rim, which reduces the overall weight of the mobile crane. These improvements are said to have a positive impact on fuel consumption.
Bridgestone intends to jointly present both its tyre and industrial products at next month’s Bauma show in Munich. This is the first time the company has displayed products from both its two divisions together at a European trade show; the company says the content and layout of its more than 200 square metre booth will reflect the goal of “expanding the traditional trade fair role of product display towards an advisory role, offering customers a wide range of premium rubber products from a single supplier.”
The Alliance TyreGroup (ATG) will use the Bauma 2016 show in Munich to launch a row of innovative tyres, the manufacturer states. The 31st edition of this world leading trade fair for construction, building and mining machinery and equipment will see the Galaxy Beefy Baby SDS skidsteer tyre in size 31 x 10-20 exhibited.
At next month’s Bauma show, Mitas will unveil a brand new tyre for rigid dump trucks. The ERD-45, which will initially be available as a size 18.00R33 fitment, will go on sale in May and is designed for use in hard surface conditions. Mitas says the ERD-45 offers excellent traction, and the tyre’s sidewall protection offers good cut resistance. Three further sizes, 21.00R33, 21.00R35 and 24.00R35, will join the ERD-45 range in 2017 and 2018.
BKT considers the Bauma 2016 exhibition in Munich the “perfect occasion” to display its new latest tyres for the logistics sector. One of these products is the brand new Portmax PM93, an all-steel radial that is built using multi-layer steel belts; these belts, reports BKT, give the Portmax PM93 “strength and force even in the most demanding situations.” The new tyre is specifically designed for container handling in port applications, and BKT list excellent stability, durability and fuel economy as three main characteristics.
The brand new Earthmax SR 31, which BKT says has “just rolled off the production line,” will be put on display for the first time at this year’s Bauma show in Munich, Germany. The all-steel radial features multi-ply steel belts, and BKT says this gives the tyre “extraordinary strength and stability under [the] toughest operating conditions.” Other qualities the manufacturer attributes to the Earthmax SR 31 are excellent traction and manoeuvrability, along with good ride comfort.
BKT has announced that it is investing in attending the triennial Bauma OTR equipment show in Munich from 11-17 April 2016. BKT reports it will welcome visitors by means of a “strong and appealing advertising presence conveying BKT’s vision”. As in the last edition of Bauma in 2013, BKT will exclusively customize all rickshaws that are at the trade show visitors’ disposal for moving around in the large open-air exhibition area. And it will be difficult to miss BKT’s new giant tyre, Earthmax SR 45 Plus, with its height of 2.70 metres.
Off-road tyre manufacturer Magna Tyres Group has confirmed its presence at the event billed as “the world’s largest trade show for construction and mining equipment and machinery”. The company says it will present its latest Magna and MTP brand tyres at the show.
Messe München, organiser of the bauma construction and mining machinery trade fair, has further consolidated its position as the world’s leading organiser of trade exhibitions for this sector with the acquisition of Moscow-based CTT Expo, the world’s fifth largest construction machinery trade show. It says the acquisition is “both the biggest and most important purchase in Messe München’s history.” The seller is private Russian trade fair company Media Globe LLC.
