On the 25th anniversary of Ayrton Senna’s death, and in honour of the three-time Formula 1 champion, Mongrip has announced a unique product for lovers of motorsport and admirers of the Brazilian driver: a simple yet stylish bracelet made from a tyre used by Senna in his most memorable Formula 1 race.
On 3 February, Germany’s Continental AG took over full ownership of its joint venture, Zytek Automotive. It previously had a 50 per cent shareholding in the Fradley Park (near Lichfield) company, and following the buy-out is operating it as a part of the Continental Engineering Services (CES) organisation in the United Kingdom. Neither Continental nor former joint venture partner Zytek have disclosed the price paid for the 50 per cent share in Zytek Automotive.
Avon Tyres ended a 27-year association with the British Formula 3 International Series at Donington Park on Sunday October 12, where Spain’s Jaime Alguersuari followed names such as Ayrton Senna and Mika Hakkinen by winning the UK’s top single-seater racing category. Next year the championship’s tyres will be branded under the name of Avon’s parent company, Cooper Tires.
Avon Tyres have been the sole tyre supplier to British F3 every year since 1982.
